One of the best state parks in the United States, Valley of Fire dazzles the senses with its pink, orange and red sandstone formations less than an hour from Las Vegas, Nevada. Stay off the cryptobiotic soil. šŸšØValley of Fire will be moving to a reservation system in 2023. Roll out date TBA! It only takes one day to enjoy all the arches, slots, petroglyphs, ruins, overlooks and hikes in this gem of a park. As an added bonus you can bring your dog on leash too! šŸArrive early and wander the photogenic Beehive Domes šŸ“øDrive Mouse Tank Road and get the iconic road shot from the rock overlook near Rainbow Vista parking lot šŸ”„Hike the Seven Wonders Loop 1.8 miles including the zebra striped Fire Wave and Pastel Canyon! šŸžļø Hike White Domes 1.25 miles for arches, ruins from a movie set, and the White Domes slot or BETTER yet combine the 2 hikes by attaching them through the Kaolin slot canyon. šŸŒˆHike Rainbow Vista (overlook) 1 mile and Mouse Tanks (petroglyphs) .75 miles šŸ˜Visit Atlatl, Seven Sisters, and Elephant Rocks šŸ’µ$10 for residents, $15 non-residents šŸ¦®Dogs on leash permitted šŸ§ŗPack a picnic, no food services in the park. Valley of Fire, located near Las Vegas, is popular for its bright red rocks, beautiful landscapes and nice and short hiking trails. But there are also many things you can admire just steps away from your car.
