Passed by this grocery store and thought we should pick up groceries before heading to our campsite. Very nice staffs in the super market.
I expected a supermarket like this to have not so fresh foods and near expiry things (for example the curry cubes we got was a week away from expiry date). However, this stew meat that we got there, smelled very spoiled as we opened the package. We of course did not realize that until we drove hours away from the supermarket, in our camp site.
What’s scarier is that the packaging had an MODIFIED “sell by” date - Someone changed the date from JULY 24 (3 weeks before) to AUG 22. And the back had a sticker that says “use by” July 16. Exactly a month ago.
Why is it ok to sell expired meats? How is this ethical in anyway??? Posting this so the owner could stop doing this. People prolly won’t die from eating it but it could cause some serous sickness, and it HAD caused food poisoning...
