My recommendation would be to book with caution. Always get travel insurance, and don't expect empathetic owners who understand what great customer service means.
I booked one of the properties they manage on Airbnb "Upgraded condo with stunning oceanview" in Lahaina. I had to cancel due to my grandmother's passing. I gave them 2 weeks' notice, my dates were rebooked, and the owner of that property still refused to give me a full refund. They had a no refund cancellation policy. I even offered to pay for any rate difference (given that rebooking my dates came at a cost of a discounted rate).
Their only offer was to allow me to rebook dates which they said was "generous". However, to me, that felt like the last thing I was able to do after having to already use PTO and travel expense to fly across the country for a funeral.
Maybe it's just me, but it simply feels wrong for them to make a profit off of my cancellation, especially given the circumstances. I would fully expect a business's need to prevent loss and preserve the profit of their business. My suggested resolution they denied would support them not taking a loss. I would never expect that.
I personally would not want to support a business who is okay making a profit in this way.

Tonight on dec 13,2024 I had an order from this company for some fruit and a fan from target. Me and my partner had successfully got the fruit but they didn’t have the fan so we went out of our way with the kindness of our own hearts and we got them a fan they requested from Walmart paying with our own money with the promise and confirmation that we would get reimbursed by stay aloha property. The fan was a total of $119 and we delivered it at the requested unit and left. Now we are home 45 minutes away from Lahaina and what do we get? $28 for the delivery and a $1 tip! No reimbursement no nothing. These people stole from me and had the audacity to say they would call the cops if I came back to the property tomorrow to receive some payment or take the fan back. I am struggling as it is and I tried to do something nice for someone during the holidays and I get screwed. These people are heartless and scammers. -5 stars. Read moreWe had the most incredible stay at this Maui condo! The ocean views from the lanai were absolutely stunning – nothing beats waking up to that view every morning. The condo was exactly as pictured, which is always a pleasant surprise! Having two lanais – one off the master bedroom and another off the living room – gave us plenty of space to enjoy the scenery from every angle.
We were also really impressed by all the little extras that made our stay even more comfortable. The extra charging hubs by the beds were a lifesaver, and it was so nice to have dishwashing pods, laundry pods, and dryer sheets on hand. The beach chairs and umbrella made our trips to the beach so much more enjoyable, and the added convenience of a USPS mailbox to use was an unexpected but much-appreciated touch!
