Dollar General — Local services in Monroe Township

This store is terrible. First, if you want to shop there, be prepared to move U-boats around to get to the products you are wanting to purchase. Instead of bringing one out at a time to work on them, they bring them ALL out so you can't get down the rows. You literally have to leave you cart in an aisle to get an item down the row. Secondly, WATCH YOUR PRICES! The price will be listed on the shelf but when you get to the check out, it will 80% of the time ring up the wrong prices, especially sale and clearance items. Third, The manager is a young girl who doesn't have the knowledge of running a business. She needs more training in the customer service area. I'm not saying she is a bad kid, but she doesn't have a clue to public relations and customer service. Employees telling off colored jokes or inappropriate language should not be done within customer's hearing range. Lastly, Forget couponing. Recently, I was going to purchase some items, a large quantity of them. There was attached coupons with a buy two get one free. I put 30 cans of them in my cart, removed the coupons in front of the clerk, she rang the item up and several of the coupons were expired (there were on the shelf to sell and coupons were outdated in 2013). Then the manager told the clerk she had to ring the remaining items separately per coupon. So the 2/$1 cans plus the free one with the coupon had to be rung up individually. Do you know what it is like to swipe you debit card 10 times for $1.07 with only one register open and people are 6 deep. Needless to say, keep it. It isn't worth the headaches. Unless the owner of this store takes serious action towards making the shopping experience a good one, Continental Dollar General is going to continue losing business, such as mine...

The store would be so much better if they would get rid of rude employees. Hire the employees that actually want to work and not sit behind the register on a stool or outside smoking all the time it is pretty bad every time you walk in and you hear them gossiping about people around town. I don't want to hear that when I'm shopping. I come to get my stuff and leave not to be drug in the drama and everybody knows who this one worker is. PS Dollar general get rid of the problem or I will never shop there again and I will make sure everybody knows not shop there because they'll be drug into...

The one guy that works there needs to work on his customer service manners!! He is so rude to customers and his fellow coworkers. I’m not saying the customer is always right, but when you work in retail the customers attention always comes first! I was in there yesterday night and earlier on...
