I have taken my puppies chewing and Chanel to Puppy Paradise to be boarded for when I went away last year. Wonderful job. I love the place. I decided to give the groomer a try after they told me she had 30 years experience. The first second time it was OK the haircuts and the baths But then I started seeing it get sloppier and sloppier like it was a rush job. I knew it was rush because I have asked her please don’t cut the eyelashes on my Shih Tzu eyelashes are supposed to be long the third time that I reminded her she’s gonna tell me oh I never cut them. I take my dogs every three weeks as much money as I spend on my dog, you don’t think I noticed them every time they get done. I had to tell her not only did she cut them twice, but she cut one longer than the other and had to even them both up to make a long story short I no longer take my puppies to get groomed there for a person, that think, they don’t make no mistakes ,is doomed to make them again. It will not be on my dogs though. Not to mention after I asked her to watch out for her eyelashes once I picked my dog up the next day, her eyes were closed, Which then after paying her $200 for her to groom the dogs, I had to pay another $300 because of her eye that that she could hardly see out of the next day, taking her to Northstar vet then, I had to turn around and take her to her doctor so that whole week not to mention the $200 that I paid them. The $300 somethingI paid Northstar and the &300 I paid her veterinarian. To make sure her eye was all right, add that’s up and that’s what it cost me for that mistake, for a person that never makes mistakes, so yeah, her services, is no longer good for me. i’m sure I could find a...
Read moreI and my boys were turned away"they barked to much, scared the staff,"TO AGGRESSIVE"...If a tall bulked up guy tried snapping his finger expecting immediate response from a dog who was nervous/scared to start with, and when he got no response. got in his face pointing with his finger as well complained that Finn growled and showed teeth. Duh if I weighed 45lb and stood less than 12" tall on "all fours" vs a 6ft+ 200 lb human I'd be defensive as well. As for Jameson my 85 lb Belgium SHEPHERD, who's mother was a police dog in Philadelphia, raising your voice and as per the trainer, aggressively raised his hand pointing at him was perplexed when Jameson lunged at him then leaped over a 3-4 foot wall to flee his "attacker" Needless to say we failed and were denied entry. I guess that unless you have a docile "tea cup"poodle or the likes stay away THEIR not for you. If asked I would never recommend...
Read moreWe have four large, very active huskies and finding a place to keep them while we are away is a bit of an undertaking. We had a trusty boarder but we recently moved and have taken our pack to Puppy Paradise for a meet and greet. I had spoken on the phone with a few other places who automatically stated that "huskies do not do well in group play." etc. (which is just silly) despite my repeated attempts to highlight that we have never had a problem (my dogs range from 7 to 4 years). That was not the case at Puppy Paradise! We brought our dogs in and they had a great time playing during their evaluation. It is nice to know we will have someplace safe and close to home to keep them on all our vacations to...
