Three Star Auto Service Inc. — Local services in Monroe Township

Chris and Three Star Auto were life savers for me and certainly my car today. I recently moved here and have been very busy and distracted. I thought my car maintenance was up to date enough to wait another month to change the oil etc. Nope maintenance required light came on and when I checked the oil I was running on sludge. I mean seriously low. I saw the positive reviews on google and Three Star Auto is very close to my new home so I took a chance. I stopped in and when I told them what was happening they fit my car in although normally an appointment is required for this service.

This probably saved me from destroying my engine. Not only that after looking at my car Chris said your windshield wiper blades are worn would you like us to replaced them? Wow thank you! I had been having problems with the driver's side blade and had noticed the passenger side was slipping but I never thought to mention it.

They checked and topped fluids and did a visual inspection of belts, hoses, etc.

Also a shout out to DJ when I asked if I needed an appointment to winterize my car like flush the radiator. He said who told you that? Ah my last mechanic? He explained that only if for some reason I had water in the radiator would it need to be flushed. The same product is used in the radiator year round now. So I learned something.

And now I have an appointment scheduled for my NJ State Inspection after my visit to NJDMV next week.

Charged me $335 for an estimate never heard of that before total rip-off, 100 at dealship is the most i payed. Their estimate was $700 higher than somebody else's had it towed there. Also took them 4 or 5 days just to get the estimate.It was going to take them another week to fix it, so they charge me storage fees because they were too slow to fix it and try to blame me. The other shop pick the car up fixed it the next day and I picked it up. They knew I was out of state and took advantage of the situation knowing that I couldn't fight them over the $335 for an estimate. They said they had to push the car 15 ft ,the car ran I know because I drove it into the parking space . I was down there at my grandmother's funeral and had to rush home to go to my sister's funeral in Boston. Which I explained to them so they couldn't get it fixed and I took a train home to my sister's funeral. I totally understaand business first people second.so sad. Says storage right on my receipt I can send you a copy also you never towed my vehicle I can also send you the copy of the receipt with all the parts same exact parts i have quote that you gave me. Still, can't believe this guy is telling me he didn't charge me for storage.It said...

Let me just say that any Mercedes owner should realize that it's a complicated German vehicle for which parts and repairs can be very expensive. With that said... there is not enough good to say about Three Star. I'm a bit of a mechanic myself but there are things I can't do or don't have time to and I've been through a dozen bad "pro mechanics." Recently my weekend car (pride and joy), my Mercedes CL500 AMG developed a leak at the valve cover gaskets. Then... a dreaded electrical issue. I had considered a Mercedes specialist but after talking to Lew he assured me he could handle both issues. I do not trust this car in just anyone's hands but my past experiences with Lew & Chris were good so I went with it. Well, not only did they do a stellar job but the price was extremely fair. I have my baby back and I'm a happy man! Trust is a hard thing to come by and they've earned it....
