I have to give at least 1 star, so in fairness to the person(s) who coordinated the scheduling and interview process, although it was a complete waste of time, the intake and overall process were very well executed. My appointment was at 12 noon and I was in my car and on my way back to Mobile before 1. With that being said, everything else was disastrous. I made the trip to Montgomery only after I had spoken with a handful of phone representatives who continuously gave me the same "obviously coached" song and dance. Numerous phone representatives, apparently hired and trained to answer and return phone calls to the thousands of desperate people like me every day, well, they don't have access to the states unemployment database BUT because I could see that my claim was pending, not denied, mine was just one of many out of a huge backlog of claims, that have to be manually processed for payment and "not to worry" because I would receive payment for every week that I filed a claim in one lump sum. It was suggested that I just wait it out if possible OR I could expedite my payment by scheduling an in person appointment with a representative in Montgomery who would have the data and means to release my claim for payment. PEOPLE PLEASE DON'T WASTE WHAT LITTLE MONEY YOU PROBABLY HAVE NIR YOUR PRECIIUS TIME ON THE TRIP. I did, only to be stonewalled again, as the representatives in Montgomery don't know much more than the phone representatives I have already spoken with. My representative, who could not give me her name...seriously, basically took my "statement" so she could forward it to the "next level". I was supposed to receive a phone call or email response within 48... that was a week ago. I'm not surprised that all the underpass aren't filled with homeless people like you used to see in the 80's, when we had our last recession/depression. I don't have any fight left and I won't survive another week with absolutely nothing nor...
Read moreAs a retired senior NCO over 65, I was unceremoniously diverted to the civilian sector for my primary care needs. Along with losing daycare privileges for our dependents to those civilian employees with no other affiliation to the military, except their employment, I realize our benefits are slowly and quietly eroding away. My care is now regulated to filling non mil prescriptions if they are on the military medical...
