I went to this market for plums but experienced rudeness, "KARENISM" and stereotypical judgement. The lady approached me and was very condescending and scolding. She stated to me that you "don't poke the peaches. I'm 64 years old and knows what I'm talking about and I am trying to teach ya". However, there was a gentleman that was standing by me and placed his nose on the peach( smelling it I presume) and she acknowledged this by just stating, "I hate when they do that." But, you target me and stated not to assess something that I was going to hopefully buy because it would bruise the peaches for "her". Could she have been stereotyping? Because she went on to ask me what did I do for a living and I told her. Then, she told me that she knew an individual that was on the board where I worked and she would mention my name to them ( in a malistic tone). I asked her if she was threatening me (now mind you this is all based on me assessing peaches that I wanted to purchase, mining my on business). Now, my assessment from the situation is that she was stereotyping me because there were other customers but she found her way to harass me and condescendingly tell me, a customer, that "do you want me to show you how rude I can be!?". The incident was recorded and shown to the police....... Oh, and she called the police. I waited because I knew I didn't do anything wrong and she was using the Montgomery Police Dept for retaliation and justification for her stereotypical beliefs. The video was shown to the police and it will be posted to all social media outlets to it's full entirety. If the video was not recorded "Karen" could have lied about what happened during the incident. But any and everyone knows "What goes around comes around" I will pray for them, but I will never shop there and do not want anyone to experience what I...
Read moreI bought a spaghetti squash, small seedless watermelon, bottle of peach cider. I loved that squash with butter and cheese. It looks exactly like pasta inside when cooked. Most people struggle cutting it but I read one person suggest baking it while until soft and whalaaaa! It broke apart. Looks different from inside. Pumpkins you scrape inside and throw away for Halloween carved faces. I usually buy the cider and peach preserves at exit 205 in peach county. I haven't tasted yet this brand but it looks the same. Some things I don't want genetically altered like my career record or humans but it gets easier not having seeds especially for small kids at a picnic or back porch. They had...
Read moreGot a chance to visit the state farmers market in Montgomery, Al. The vegetables did not look that great. I was however able to find some produces, peas, corn and corn looked fine. Okra was almost withered. The vegetables were not the worse of the experience. The ladies working in there were not very nice and one lady in particular made some comments that I thought were a bit strange. Additionally, the prices were a bit high for a...
