They are a family owned grocery store that takes pride in their store and their service. We stop just about every Sunday after church to pickup some of their weekly specials. We also get our meat for the week there. They also have their own special varieties of precooked or fresh, veal, pork brats, sausage and other specialty meats like Kalberwurst which they prepare and make themselves. Their meat counter has a variety of fresh cut meat it isn't prepackaged so you have a choice of cuts. They have one heated case where you have a choice of I believe six different heated meals to go. Of course we picked up some beef sticks, landjaegers and Shullsburg Co cheese. But the , we hit the deli. Not a regular grocery deli, but a hidden gem of yumminess! Homemade tater tot casserole, chicken pasta casserole, “juicy” (what my husband calls things that are well-buttered) garlic cheese bread - OH-MY! All of it hit the perfect comfort food spot!! “Where the talented school cafeteria ladies work on summer break” is an excellent description. They also had homemade pizza and griddled burgers, which we will have to try next time! Definitely worth a trip out of the way, or if you’re tubing down the...
