I've been coming to this fair for over 50 years since I was 5 years old but fortunately will not go anymore due to the raising the gate admission from $10 to $15 which is ridiculous and outrageous for people who can't really afford it when inflation is going sky high and also you can save money on keep having local artists coming here to perform on the free stage instead of having people from Canada, Missouri or wherever to perform here and pay them probably a couple thousand dollars or more to perform for mostly little kids four to six times daily. REALLY! Hey support your local folks and save money. Your making this fair not a county fair and food fest anymore. This is has been for the last two years now to be a beer fest. Too much trouble and not enough security and sheriff to handle the crowds if it happens to get out of hand. Your prices for the concerts were absolutely outrageous. $90 a ticket for Lainy Wilson for the track and grandstand, $75 for Cody Johnson. That is absolutely stupid to be that high. They're not worth it. You guys are starting to get really like the Iowa State fair and Minnesota State fair. It's all about money, trying bringing the people out who can't afford it anymore. Fair office staff get your priorities straight for the near future because if the economy gets worse in the next several years a lot of people won't be coming here because they can't afford to go anywhere including here. I know I won't be coming there ever again....

Read moreThe Jones County Fair is located in a very small town, but the music venues who have performed here, are HUGE!!! Due to this fact, concert tickets sell out fast & you can drop a good chunk of money to see some chart topping artists. I have to say it's well worth it! (Keith Urban - 2017) My only concern with The Jones County Fair is the issue of limited space on the fair grounds where all the vendors are squeezed in, leaving even less room for the public to walk through. It was a little difficult to find what you were looking for, without stepping out of the herd, and asking someone. Also, the lack of places to sit, other than the stadium, which is only open to people with concert tickets a short time before the opening act. Even with my very minor complaints, I would definitely recommend going. I know I'll be...
