We went Memorial Day weekend 2023.
We took the Shuttle to the location, and check in was pretty quick. They assigned us our stuff (4 inner tubes and 2 canoes) and off we went.
We had 5 adults, 5 kids and 2 dogs. 2 adults and 2 kids took tubes and three adults, three kids and the dogs took the canoes.
The entire trip down the river was from 9:30am-5:15pm.
There is NO bath room stop, although there are sandbars along the way.
I would highly recommend bringing waterproof coolers with snacks and a lot of sun block. We had people who knew what they were doing with us, and I'm so grateful for that.
We all applied sun block every 2 hrs. Those who strictly used the spray sun block still burned, those of us who used lotion were fine.
Hats and old clothes/swim wear are definitely necessary.

Read moreIf your reading reviews wondering if this is for you.....trust me, it is. An excellent place to organize a tube float, kayaking trip or canoe trip with family, friends, or just to get everyone together. The business has a nostalgic feeling of showing up to camp whenever you arrive. Very cool area and the owners do a great job keeping it clean and enjoyable for everyone on a daily basis. They do provide twine/scissors to tie tubes and cooler tubes together etc, trash removal at the end of the float, transportation to and from your vehicle and above par customer service. The location is superb and the river is always perfect, rain or shine, high or low water, doesn't make a difference. You'll leave talking about your experience and planning for the next! Don't skip out on this!...

They did hold off on charging our card because it looked like rain in the forecast so that was a plus. This river is VERY SHALLOW!!!!!!!!!! Most of the river is less than 18 inches deep. There was only ONE spot we found that was deep enough to really swim in at probably 4 feet deep. Lots of running aground on sand and rocks. Most of the river bottom is really nice and sandy though. No place to change at the end...
