Dollar General — Local services in Montrose

I am absolutely DISGUSTED with this store unbelievably angry and disgusted. I came in on December 28th, 2023 around 3:30-4PM and the cashier's were making fun of people in wheel chairs. I was standing down an isle shopping and I could loudly hear them discussing "getting with people in wheel chairs". I said something because I feel as though this is completely inappropriate and sickening. That is not something you talk about in the work place. Making fun of people for disabilities that they have no control over and cannot help no matter the disability is absolutely wrong and disgusting. You need to have employees that are respectful and know what is appropriate to discuss at work and what is not. I will NOT be coming back to this store. You don't know the troubles people are going through and therefore have no right to make fun of ANYONE for the disabilities they have. Do not waste your time going to this store. Some of those ladies know I'm always looking for clearance, well, anything... they'll let me know when it's happening and they know I'm always painting, planting, creating or recreating something! For example... my very first ever gnome home!! New holiday decorating ideas every year etc;

Almost all of my plant eeds came from DG the last 2 years! They've always got sizable holiday and seasonal variety selections and sales! They've got a lil bit of everything ya need a lil bit of anything ya want. Office & school supplies, Medicinal, automotive, hygiene, home decor, crafts, clothing, footwear, cosmetics, FOOD, like your pantry fridge and freezer staples and treats, some tools, paint and supplies for, charging accessories, housewares, cleaning supplies/ tools/ solutions, home storage, pet food and sum supplies;

Use to shop here at LEAST once a week but usually 2 to 3x. I love the remodel and having produce items BUT since Eric has left and this new remodel the store is unorganized and never stocked, now it's been closed WAY too much. Ppl in the community myself included over age 18 have offered to volunteer to help them get stocked and caught up to keep them open, always turned down, we have many 14 and 15 yr old kids in the community, my kid included very eager to work and could come simply stock many items that u don't need to be 18 to stock, most of the store, hire them a couple hrs on delivery days and til it's stocked. But corporate has a stupid rule against that, well I'd say it'd be better to change that rule and keep ur doors ope the. The alternative of being closed 3 or 5 days of the week. And losing money. If this continues I will boycott this store all together and just get instacart or the other grocery...
