Just a short hike from the visitor center is Gunnison Point. The trail is short and fairly easy with some elevation gain but there are steps. The Gunnison Point offers spectacular views of the Gunnison River Canyon.

Awesome views right behind the visitor center. The path down isn't too long but there are a few steps. If you are not able to do stairs, the views on the porch of the visitor center are still good.

One of the best viewpoints and probably the best place to see the swifts and swallows in action, flying around their nests and catching insects that come up from the draft against the walls.

Ya so I like this viewpoint but not as much as the very first turnoff or painted wall. I think this spot comes in third for me. It’s still worth walking to, don’t get me wrong. I just think there’s a ranking here and this guys numero tres. Ya with me? I recommend this as the second stop and next stop being either pulpit rock or...
