These guys did an AWESOME job finishing a job another place couldn't get to, a burned out WELL PUMP. So fascinating to watch the guys, got right to work and within less than two hours we had running water again after not having it for WEEKS. Really impressive, very professional and really knew what they were doing!....really nice guys too, not bothered by old people with lotsa questions lol! We were blown away to learn the well was almost 90' deep, we had no idea, learned so much! Thanks Jake and helper, you were like the Calvary pulling up!

Horrible experience all the way around for having a geothermal well drilled. Do not let them on your property

Update: After my review the owner emailed me asking me to change my review stating that was it unfair and stated [not asked] that he would come to our house to discuss things this weekend if he did not hear back from us. I replied: “This transaction is over. Do not come to out home. I’m sorry you feel the review is unfair but it reflects our experience of the contract and has very little to do with the landscaping issue. Please do not contact us again.” He then emailed me the following: “Unfortunately you know nothing about weather, rain, and construction. We are known as the best at the geothermal and recommend by national organizations. I see you and Mike do not communicate either.” Angry, defensive and personally insulting. This is most communication we’ve received from the owner during whole contract period. Obviously it’s not been positive or productive.

In response to the owners reply: The difficulties on this job go far beyond dissatisfaction with the final grading of the job site. They started on day one of the work when his crew arrived at the the job site completely unprepared to perform the contracted work. As a result they left within about one hour of their arrival. They showed up the next day yet again unprepared to perform the contracted work. The crew called the owner and was told to just deal with it because the owner couldn’t get them the correct equipment. As a result the job was significantly delayed due to circumstances that were easily foreseeable. During the course of the work, the crews would disappear for long periods of time with no communication from the owner. The owner was NEVER at the site during the work execution and NEVER communicated status to us. On multiple occasions he became quite angry and defensive when we contacted him to inquire about project status. He also failed to notify his crew of buried gas lines of which he was aware. As a result, his crew dug into a gas line. Because he is so difficult to work with, the company installing the geo equipment made the repairs to the gas line at their own cost and without involving the owner. The owner failed to execute the terms of the contract. Specifically he failed to leave a 1 foot mound of dirt in areas that his crew disturbed. Further, the owner failed to perform any restoration on multiple ruts left in the yard by his crews failure to use protective matting while driving through the yard on multiple occasions. Further still, my husband had multiple discussions with the owner about performing the restoration of the yard and agreed to certain terms. The results of these agreements were not communicated to the crews that subsequently came to the job site and thus, the work was not performed properly and resulted in more testy communications with the owner. Finally, the owner does not know how well the geothermal system is functioning because he has never performed a single test to verify the functionality. As for pictures and videos, I am sure that many of them show the results of MANY hours of restoration effort made...

I don't ever write online reviews, but in this instance I hope it is helpful to someone looking to use this company's services. Word of advice: ensure you read the invoices in full as they take services off without the customer's knowledge. We had them come out during an emergency situation when our house lost water and they had to come dig an entirely new Well (note, they did understand this was an 'emergency' situation and did everything they could to get drilling and Well installation done within 1 week, which was greatly appreciated). Prior to drilling, they included certain line items within the estimate (i.e., water testing) and when we called back ~1 week after the new Well was installed to ensure the testing would be done (after paying them over $10,000; more money than what was originally quoted), they informed us that this water testing service was not included in the final price and that we "should have scrolled down on the email and looked closer at the invoice" (note, the itemized invoice is not easily accessible in the actual invoice email). The woman who contacted me regarding my concerns over the billing was dismissive and rude; not something I have experienced before with any other company. She also let me know that I was the only person that "has ever gotten worked up over a water test", which shows she missed the whole point of my concern.

On top of this, they left our neighbors yard a mess (after we told them, before they started any work, where the property line was).

Would recommend shopping around if you are not in an emergency situation + make sure you triple check what they are charging you for in the end as it will differ from the original estimate they provided you and they may remove certain support without being...

I can't begin to express how thankful and impressed with are with Kocher's Water Pumps & Tanks Inc. We lost water and had another company come and first told us that our well was dry, then that we had to dig up the water line underground. They didn't complete all appropriate tests to make this assessment but quoted $7000 to complete the job. I almost fainted. There was no way.

My husband called Kocher's and from the first phone call they were kind, quick, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable! Through each step of the process we were given updates, key pieces of information to make decisions, and felt that we were top priority on their list. The guys were so respectful of our home, our property, and listened to us. Their dedication to helping us made us feel like we were apart of their family. They did not want to stop until every single issue was resolved, and resolved the correct way. They went through so many tests to determine what the issues were and how best to fix them. We found out that there were other issues than what we were told from the previous company. They were here when it was cold, windy, and raining. The day we got our water back, they stayed past 6pm on a Friday while it was raining outside to ensure we had running water. All that while each one of them had a smile on their face and not a single complaint. We can't thank them enough. They will be the only company we refer anyone to.

Thank you Kocher's Water Pumps & Tanks Inc., you are...
