My wife and I had been looking for something special for countertops for well over 5 months with about 13 different stone distributors/manufactures, we took a chance to drive 40 minutes to PSC. We found the stone immediately (Donna Sandra) and started the process. We gave a rough estimate of 52 sqft and got a rough estimate on price. We gave 1/2 down and set an install day. After the Measure person did their thing, a day later the sales person called and said it was 10 sqft more, i asked how, they said I was paying for a large corner (3x4 ft) piece that was to be cut off to make the diamond shaped island I had. I was not told from any other manufacturer that i would purchase the square feet of cut outs (Sink or Stove) or that I had to buy a square piece of stone in order to get a diamond shaped island. Thankfully I had another angle piece that wasn't measured originally for a desk area, and it took up several square feet of the angle cut off. Ask about paying for large square feet pieces (cut offs) that are not intended for your project. This left a bad taste in my mouth.
A few days later the sales person called stating that the particular Vein in the stone wouldn't be located in the area we wanted (he taped it off and sent a picture), he said there was a fracture in the slab. My heart dropped. He said they could turn the pattern around but wouldn't have the pretty vein. I figured this would cost me, but he said it wouldn't. I said "whatever, do what you got to do". He then said they were going to take the template out of the middle of the slab so some of the vein would be in a different location. At this point I didn't care. Really look into what your wanting and be ready for let downs.
On install, after days of praying and waiting on another call, the men showed up. Extremely professional. Listened to my concerns, listened to some of my requests I had for Faucet location and caulking. They laid out carpets and started laying out the stone in the four different locations in the kitchen. The large Island piece was extremely difficult for them (HEAVY) but they did it slow and steady, and got it laid down. Super clean Super good caulking Just a super good install crew. Think about how your sink faucet will be installed and the location. How level is your cabinets. How well structured is the cabinets for holding all the weight. Where will the entry point be. Stone is hundreds of pounds
Do your research on every place. Think about backup stone in case the one you choose changes. Think about install day. READ THE CANCELLATION POLICY GET EVERYTHING WRITTEN ON THE CONTRACT/QUOTE
I give the install crew a 5 star I give sales a 3.99 star This is an average of 4.49 or a 4 star I would Recommend PSC, the Sales, the Install crew and I would go back there for other items now...
Read moreHave nothing but great things to say about Prestige Stone Creations. They were a pleasure to work with through all phases of the counter top order, measurement, and installation. Phil did the measurements and his attention to detail was much appreciated and ultimately made the installation process go very quickly. The countertops look awesome. Prestige had a variety of materials, patterns, and colors so my wife was able to pick out the quartzite countertop quickly at their store in Moraine. Phil and DJ did a very professional and efficient installation and were done in about 3 hrs. My wife really appreciated working with Liz for the order and payment process. She was very helpful and efficiently communicated with us to complete the order. Note for the DIYers, get your cabinets right before setting up appointment for measurements. We built custom base cabinets for our mid 1800s house and still had to make significant modifications to achieve level, straightness, and plumb after the first measurement appointment. Overall, highly recommend Prestige Stone Creations...
Read moreAll services were done in the time frame we were told when we purchased the granite. Our countertops had to be cut with 2 seams to get them in our kitchen and we were told about this ahead of time and allowed input as to the seam locations. Phil did the measurements and installation both and our seams are barely noticeable and that is only if you’re looking for them. He did an excellent job on the installation and telling us how to care for our granite countertops. We had used this company 2 other times in the past for small jobs and we have been more than happy with the products and services provided by Prestige Granite. I would highly recommend this company for countertops. Our sales person Liz was very patient as we ordered one thing then after changing cabinet colors we asked to come back and change our order completely and she was very nice about it. Overall we would...
