Yesterday I bought three shrimp cocktails from the deli. My mom tried one and said that it tasted really fishy and like it was going bad. They smelled disgusting!! Unfortunately I threw away the receipt but I figured that I had enough proof that I bought them at this store because they had their sticker on the cups with the store name. So I went back to the store and a cashier called a manager and I told her that these cocktails were spoiled and it’s like she didn’t believe me! She was questioning me if I was sure that I bought them at this store! It was so frustrating! When I bought the cocktails, there was a male employee behind the counter that one of the ladies asked to ring me up, and when I told her that a male worker rung me up she started saying that no men work in the deli. I’ve bought food from there many times before and yes, it’s all women but that day, a guy was behind the counter walking around was told to ring up my order. Maybe he didn’t work in the deli, but he was a store employee. She just kept denying that no men worked in the deli. So happens that the day I bought these gross things a guy WAS THERE!!! .. That maybe I bought them somewhere else! Then another lady that was there in the deli took one of the cups and looked at the sticker and saw that in fact I did buy them there.. I can tell in her face that she was STILL skeptical! Finally I was told that they couldn’t refund my money back but that I could get something else in exchange. I never thought that taking back rotting food was going to be such a headache! Looking at these reviews, I can see others complaining about food...
Read moreI go to this place religiously but I will stop going. I went in tonight and I was in the bakery getting my pan dulce. These couple come and start getting the sweet bread with their bare hands and touching multiple breads and putting them back. I immediately confront them because if sanitary purposes. They give me a look and walk away. I went to an employee that works in the pastels and she didn’t seem like it mattered. I told her I would be more than happy to point out the area and they can remove the batch from the display. She said yeah I will send someone. I waited 10 min and no one arrived. As I was waiting I also told the customers that there was a couple who touched all this bread and it’s up to them if they want to purchase it. They said no no no way. Left the bread. I see another worker and he says “ well we can’t control it but it happens a lot. Homeless guy came in the other day and did the same thing.” I told him that nobody was sent and if they are going to send anyone. He said uh yeah I can call someone. I then told him do you guys like not take the bread out that has been touched for sanitary purposes he didn’t even know. I told him that if that is his approach to this situation then I will leave the pan and bollios that I have in my cart. I can definitely say if this is their reaction to this then it will be the same for all the food they make and prepare. Cashier Yesenia A. was pushy. I understand the need to keep the lines moving. But you have to wait, you need to give the customer in front enough time to pack their groceries properly without being pushed and smashing their groceries. Not only that, but you are mixing my groceries with the customer in front that has not finished packing their groceries. Yesenia A. was rude and impatient. She needs to placed away from customers. Get more registers open and train employees better. Since most grocery stores require, the customer to bag their own groceries you have to give us time to do it at our pace. Not happy seeing a young girl or lady that was working behind the meat counter could not or would not properly wear her face mask. She was only covering her mouth...I am very disappointed that Cardenas market allow this and are not implementing this mask mandate. While you're in the store you continuously hear the recording saying to please have your mask cover both nose and mouth. Not happy with what...
