So this review is extremely negative. To be fair the doctor my spouse and I saw was extremely good (Dr. Saypol) it was the office staff that was horrific. We are trying to conceive and my spouse needed a sperm count test--Dr. Saypol ordered the test and as we left the office the girl at the desk gave us the script, sterile cups, and told us to bring the sample to a Quest Diagnostics or Labcorp. I found a Quest near us and my spouse took off of work early to be able to drop off the sample before they closed, except once there the Quest said they did not do a sperm count test. We had to wait 2 days before trying again (per the doctor's instructions). We then called around to a bunch of Labcorps to check before we got another sample-only to find out they ALSO do not do that test. We called this office back to explain these facilities actually did not do the test we needed, and asked where we should go. We were told by the person who answered the phone to get the sample to Reproductive associates in Morristown, and were given the address. We did that straight away and once there (with sample in hand) the people informed us that A) the Morristown location does not do testing and B) even to drop off a sample we would need an appointment. I completely broke down and started sobbing in their lobby. I called Garden State Urology back and was told ACTUALLY we would need to take the sample to Morristown hospital, and the office would call me when we could drop off the sample. I was 100% done. We had been given misinformation so many times I didn't even believe the new instructions AND we were out of sterile cups (when asked if they would fedex us new ones to make up for the mistake they said No!) and it would mean -another- trip to Morristown. My spouse had taken off work TWICE to do this and we had driven to Morristown for no reason (45 minutes from our home). Then we were told we would have to drive to their office again for the cup (a 40 minute trip and then 40 minutes back or buy it ourselves) and then wait to hear when we can drop the sample off (another 45 minutes each way, plus possibly more time off from work). This staff is unprofessional, uninformed and it's absolutely harmful to patients. I would recommend this...
Read moreMy son's urology doctor works this clinic and she is nice, people are mostly nice, and his surgery went smoothly. The doctors and everyone in surgery center were nice too. However, after his surgery, he needed checkup and that day it snowed. I drove with my child for his appointment and guess what? They decided to open late because of the snow. If I can drive how come they cannot? They called me in the morning when my phone is in ariplane mode and left a message. Since I was in hurry in the morning I did not check the voicemessages. I came to the office and there was another person like me. Then, the nurse practitioner saw my son. On our second checkup day, 2 days before our appointment they called me and left a message that my appointment is on 06/12 ThursdY. I even called the office that morning to ask the address if it is 101 or 110. When I came to the clinic they told me my appointment is next dah? Really? I put that reminder months ago to my calendar and 2 days ago your call confirmed. The kind man in the office told me that they do not call only send text messages which I was not sign up. I told him, I was called! I am trying to keep my upset to myself and not raise my voice because of their fault. Because the person in the front desk is not the guilty one but I am the most innocent one here! Then I waited for 45 mins so a nurse practitioner can see my son. I am not gonna drive here everyday for 40 mins commute. I am so done with this clinic. Always call one hour before your...
Read moreI saw Dr. Vijay after being diagnosed with a bladder infection at Morristown Medical Center. After looking at my test results, he declared that I did not have a bladder infection and if he had seen me in the hospital, he would not have given me antibiotics. He “had no idea” what I had and was unwilling to listen to my symptoms. He told me there was nothing wrong with me, but that I should still take the prescribed medication.
When I asked about a persistent problem emptying, he suggested I have a hysterectomy to remedy the problem. After I objected (I’m still of childbearing age), and said I didn’t want early menopause, he callously said I’d “be ok if the ovaries remained” but he “wasn’t a gynecologist.”
He rushed me out of the office, but then stopped himself to perform a gratuitous exam that gave him absolutely no information about my health. Perhaps Dr. Vijay does better with his male patients, but he certainly failed in “bedside manner” with me. I wouldn’t recommend him and his uninformed opinions to anyone.
The office staff was wonderful and friendly. Wait times were minimal. But, this doctor completely turned me off to the practice. I will look elsewhere for real...
