Country community spirit, family oriented, simmering for everyone. I went to see a local band, "90 Proof Project", perform for the community at about 8pm on July 8, 2016 (they sounded great!).
The fairgrounds have various permanent buildings and structures for hosting rodeos, and seating for attendees. In addition, they have stages for bands on at least two areas in the fairgrounds, and restrooms. Temporary food trucks and trailers were arranged throughout the grounds on the day I visited, serving typical fair 'fare', including corndogs, hotdogs, etc.
The country 'hometown' spirit of the fairgrounds is very welcoming, with kids dancing around in front of the band (90 Proof Project, above), and the sounds of kids playing.
Advise to watch your step when walking around the grounds following the horses (I'll leave that up to your own good 'horse sense').

Was rather surprised that not much was open being summer holidays and county fair. I used to live in Maryland and always went to the St Mary's county fair I was disappointed at this one it didn't compare well.
