Air Works Heating & Cooling — Local services in Mount Clemens

My central a/c broke. I called airworks because they were recomended to me. They came out in a timely manner. They informed me that I needed a new condenser. I asked for estimates. 2 days later I called to see why no one had called me back with the estimate. I was told someone would call me back. 2 days later I called back again. I finally got a call back. I was given a quote for replacing my unit with the same kind of unit that I have. (R-22 refrigerant) They didn't inform me that r-22 is getting hard to find and production of it will be stopped completely in 2020. A month later I decided to give them another try. I called and asked for an estimate for a condenser that uses the new refrigerant. It's been 4 days. Haven't heard back from them. I called another company yesterday (wednesday) they gave me a quote same day. They are coming out tomorrow (friday) to measure and installing on Monday. I guess Airworks doesn't need...

Paid for a brand new HVAC system in 2021 only to have it break down twice (first in 2023) for what the company openly admits is a "known issue" with the Carrier furnace they sold me. The first time they came out to fix the defect I was just charged $120. The following year I had a repeat of the SAME PROBLEM and the charge to fix is now $240.

I understand price increases, but this is beyond the pale - especially for a KNOWN ISSUE with this model of Carrier furnace. Airworks has threatened to send me to collections, so I have no choice but to resolve this in court.

Airworks should not be selling people a product they know is defective and then charging the customer hundreds of dollars to fix it when it breaks every 2 years. That said, I've been very happy with the quality of their service up until this and hope to reach a...

when I woke up this morning i could tell my A/C was not working properly in my house. The thermostat was set to 72 but it was 75 in the house. I called and spoke to John at Air Works at first he told me it might take a couple days to come out which I was expecting do to the extremely hot weather we've been having lately. But he called me back a few minutes later and said he was able to get someone to come in and answer the phones so was going to come out himself and check my A/C.
