Spent the night here for my reset. Woke up at 4 am, to start driving. They have a fast food restaurant inside the truck stop. I went to the counter to order breakfast, the young lady at the counter told me that they only had bacon and eggs ready. I told her that's fine, I was hungry and had to get on the road. She quickly toasted up two tortillas and scooped eggs into them, at this point and older lady working in the back told her she couldn't serve me until 5 am. I said I wouldn't be there at 5 am. I also said that the young lady was doing the right thing, taking care of the customer. However, that didn't seem to matter, the older lady refused to allow the young lady to finish making my breakfast tacos, and they went into the trash and I went on the road hungry. It is utterly pathetic for a truck stop to refuse to serve a truck driver! Even worse is that I was wearing a hat that clearly identified me as a Desert Storm Veteran, but the older lady didn't seem to care that she was going to let a hungry Veteran go without a meal. Instead she would much rather throw the food away then allow me to buy it before 5 am. I will NEVER go to this place again and I highly recommend that all Veterans and truck drivers STOP going to this lousy place where they disrespect Veterans and Truck Drivers! If it wasn't for the older ladies complete disregard and disrespect towards me and her own coworker, this would have been a much...
Read moreNice clean place but had to go inside for a fuel receipt (common) during a mid morning travel stop and two employees at the cash register talking to each other when I walked up. No other customers- just me. I stood there for half a minute. Never acknowledged ,they just continued to shoot the bull with each other. Finally a third employee motioned me over. Requested the receipt and was advised they could not give me one.... had to print on a register tape and they were all out of resister tape.. inside and out. Maybe they were out of all other paper as well, as there was no alternative suggested. Based upon other reviews I have seen this may be an exceptional experience, however, I was definitely having one of those moments where if I were the on duty supervisor that day, there would have been numerous things that would have happened differently (that I could have changed). At the end of the day, probably should expect this - despite the nice appearances, it's still just a gas station and one's experience is sometimes subject to the luck of the draw. I suppose I need to...
Read moreWalked in to buy 2 kolaches was told it was cash only at the counter when trying to pay with card. Was told to use ATM because connectivity was down. ATM worked fine despite supposed connectivity/electricity issues but charged $3.50. They weren't willing to refund the ATM fee for inconvenience. They post that they accept CC, then don't accept and fee you for $3.50 with no apology. Pretty unacceptable for what should have been an easy $5 transaction. Will be skipping this stop in the future and stopping earlier in Mt. Enterprise or later...
