Montgomery County Nursing Home — Local services in Mount Ida

This is the cleanist nursing home I have ever been in. The food is good. The people who work here are very friendly and very helpful. The only problems I have encountered is with their zDirector of Nurses. I have found her to unprofessional and inefficient in her job. All the LVN's, CNA's, and AIDS are very helpful. Their therapists are all knowledgeable, and hard working. They are doing wonders for my wife, who I thought would never walk again Coming to this Skilled Nursing Facility was a very good choice for me.

Wife needed more rehab so we contacted them regarding admittance. The person we contacted took all day to tell us they weren't taking new patients due to staffing issues and she was very combative and unpleasant. She cost us a whole day in getting admittance to a rehab facility for help. My experience with this facility is the front office people are very difficult and unpleasant to deal with. When my mom had to go into the nursing home, I was so scared. I'd heard all the horror stories about elder abuse & neglect, basically just leaving the elderly to die. This place was not like that at all, they talked & laughed with my mama, helped her decorate her room for holidays, put up pictures, basically do everything she would've done at home while still giving us peace of mind that someone was there for her. She eventually went to the Assisted Living, & lived the rest of her days very happy.
