So the actual salespeople at diamonds direct are great. And the only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1. They helped my fiance design a custom ring exactly to his specifications and helped me order a custom wedding band to match when the time came. HOWEVER - we had problems with both jewelers and a manager. They made my engagement ring incorrectly even after the design had been drawn up and finalized and when we asked them to fix it they said no can do. They would not fix it but only offered to completely reverse the purchase which would mean losing the ring and starting over from scratch with another jeweler after months of work. They said the changes we wanted would scratch the stone but they never contacted my fiance to tell him the agreed upon design/drawings would not work and they needed to make changes, so I think it's BS and the manager was just digging his heels in (especially because I've seen rings with claw prongs instead of the stupid balls all over the place.) Then, despite the order being placed correctly and paid for, they did not make my wedding band correctly and I ended up having to get the correct ring made in a rush order the week before my wedding, take time off of work on two separate days and my fiance had to take time off of work because the ring wasn't ready when promised. The salespeople were great and tried their best to give us what we wanted but I will NEVER work with this company again because of the poor communication, disrespect, and multiple errors made by the jewelers that they made no effort to rectify. They were very condescending and unhelpful when we talked to them. It's like they just don't care.
UPDATE: After I posted this review I was contacted by the VP regarding my issues. We went back in to see what could be done and they worked on my ring in store immediately and offered to completely remake the ring if I am not happy with the changes they were able to make in-store. I am happy they are trying to work with us and get my ring fixed now, but I wish it had been taken care of a year ago without all of the drama. I will say they do appear to want to make their customers happy and (hopefully) we just had an unlucky set of experiences...

Read moreI first came into Diamonds Direct with my girlfriend in October of last year to look at a tennis bracelet and while we were there we were pleasantly introduced to Dee Carvalho, a diamond expert, who gave us the best experience I could have ever asked for. She made us a profile, sized my girlfriend’s fingers and made us feel so incredibly welcomed. Months later it was around January of this year I went back to Diamonds Direct to look at that Tennis bracelet for a possible Valentine’s Day gift. Knowing I wanted to propose to my girlfriend this year I thought now would be the time to ask about an engagement ring instead. Luckily, Dee was working again that day and helped me so much by pulling up the profile she made me months prior and had everything perfectly organized to help me find the perfect engagement ring. I explained the situation and the time frame of when I would need the ring (since I was proposing in Europe) and she assured me that it would get here in time and found the most beautiful diamond. She found several sizes of the most beautiful emerald cut diamond engagement rings for me to choose from and the band was timeless. Doing all of this without my girlfriend’s knowledge to keep it a surprise was crucial and Dee understood that completely. Made sure not to mail anything to me until after the proposal and when the ring is to be picked up she made sure to contact me discreetly. The proposal went flawlessly and my, now, fiancé absolutely loves her ring. This couldn’t have been possible without the overwhelming support, detailed consideration, and superlative efforts of Dee Carvalho. If you are looking for ANYTHING at all, please, go talk to Dee. She will make you feel like you are at home and not one question will be left unanswered. My fiancé constantly gets asked where she got her ring and she always says “Dee from Diamonds Direct is your person!”....
