Arrived at ok foods at around 12:10pm. Talked to the guy behind the check in window For drivers. After talking with him for a few minutes, I asked to make sure he doesn't over load me. He assured me it wasn't going to be a problem ( no I didn't get his name, but should have). After about 4 hrs , received call to get paper work. Received paperwork and left to go to scale ( one just down the street, thankfully ). Weighted tractor trailer and went and purchased scale ticket at 11.50$. Yep, you guessed it over weight by 780 lbs. Went back to Ok foods. Talked to the lady behind the window and told her I was over weight by 780 lbs . When I handed her the scale ticket. I can see that as she snapped at me. I asked then how much longer she said there is a shift change at 6pm it will be after that. I said ok, and asked for her supervisors number so I could talk to him, she gave the answer I was expecting, I am the supervisor. I said ok, but you have a boss don't you she said yes but your not getting his number saying it very sarcastically and turning her back to me saying its going to be taken care of, again sarcastically. So here I am still here and its 6pm and still nothing. The other people in the office had a concerned look on their face, but they looked to scared to say anything. Seems like the norm for most places I go to which is sad. Thanks Robin Hopkins for a great day. I would get fired if I spoke to...
Read moreI arrived a half hour before my appointment time and was loaded within two hours. Security and staff were helpful and polite. The loading process is straightforward. You call the phone number security provides and check in. Once you are given a door you partially back in. An employee will come out to verify your reefer temperature and then you’ll open your doors and fully back in. Once loaded and you have a green light you can pull forward, secure the load and close your doors. An employee will bring you the BOL and seal. When exiting security will check your BOL, seal and reefer temperature. Easy peasy. The facility grounds were clean. No garbage or weird mystery slime on the ground like most food distribution centers. This place seems top notch and I’d...
Read moreAppointment 3:30 pm, got here on time. They don't care about appointments. Gave me a door 6 pm and said it will take 2 hours. 3 hours later 3 pallets inside. Ask them how many hours more, answer "don't know , wait ". Already late for delivery appointment. Need to change appointments 24 hours in advance by email. Tell them take this 3 pallets back, we not going to take the load. Reffer was -10 for all this time.Waiting for the for another 30 min to get empty. Oh yes, one more thing pm security at the gate was kind of rude. One manager inside told me, why you don't want to wait more you wasn't here since morning, you came afternoon. There are people who wait since morning. And yes spoke with another driver he said hi was...
