Had a Birthday Party for my daughter yesterday

*I want to start out by saying that the "party host"/concessions lady was absolutely wonderful especially considering that she was the only one working the parties and concessions with fully booked parties

*When we checked in we were asked if we were paying for extras/adults to skate-I said yes, we were covering it all. When my sister, fiance, friend and two nieces arrived they were told that the party tickets were just for the kids and that Adults were $7.50....when I went up to get tickets for the adults and clear up the mishap the woman at the front said she never said that to anyone and that it was a lie...I wasn't mad or rude when I went up there, I just wanted to make sure that they had it down, so there was no need for the woman to get so defensive.

I had never been to Gibson's before, so I didn't realize that there were not actual party rooms-which was not a big deal except for the fact that the kids from the other party tried to take our beverage pitchers and our cupcakes as well as kept running across our party area.

*In the room we were in they had a bunch of equipment (punching bags etc) that were to one side of the room with a big open area. There was one small black rope by the table, separating the area. We were never once told not to go to that area.... during the entire party the kids from the other group kept going over in that area as well as kids and adults from our group so they could spread out more. Most of the kids from both parties messed around with the stuff over there at one point or another. When we were finishing up and about to start leaving, one of the female employees came up and scolded two kids from our group for messing around in the unknown "forbidden" area. Now, I wouldn't be upset if this employee had scolded ALL of the people but she singled out only two kids from our group. I can't help but think it was racially motivated since the only two that got scolded were the only two in the room that were not white. I understand that businesses have to get on children, but if parents are present you should be speaking with the parents, especially when rules were never given for that area. Not only should the parent/party host have been talked to, EVERYONE that was back there should have been scolded and not...

🗽This place is historic🏛 in my 👀eyes!👀 It's still a wonderful place to go for a 🎪fun time! I attended school🎒 skating parties when I was in elementary👩‍🏫🏢 and now 👩👦🏼both of my kids also get that same exact😍 experience. I haven't been on skates💫💥 in several years🚑🏥🏪 but I used to be 👸pretty good so... tonight, my son👱🏼‍♂️ asked if 👸I'd skate with him👩‍👦 since he's still learning how to skate...🙆‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️ so I sure did!🤡🤪 We had a blast! 👨🏼Dad even got out there🏃🏼‍♂️ and refreshed his skating skills also! 👍Awesome place to 👩‍🎨🧔🏼👱🏼‍♂️👸🏽create 💏💑👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👫family memories!👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🤟👐💟

As soon as we walked out the 😬😩door, my son asked if we could come again tomorrow🗓📅 lol! He had so much fun with all of his friends... and even with his 👸Mom &🤴🏼 Dad! Lol! I'm still😎 cool😎😋 with all the kids 🤩cause they're elementary ages...📰 once 📚middle school sneaks up on us, I'm sure I wont be as cool🙄🤨 anymore and they'll all just ask to be dropped off! 🤓🤠🤯😾

So thank you Gibsons, for helping me create🤾‍♀️ awesome, fun, 🤸‍♀️memorable, meaningful,🤹‍♀️🥇 exciting memories that will🏅 last a lifetime!♥️ I just cant Express my 🏆appreciation enough! I miss seeing Ann👱🏽‍♀️👵🏼 out there showing us up, being amazing! But I honestly felt like she WAS 🙃🙃🙃 there with us!😇👱🏽‍♀️ I told my son all about her and showed him the wall of📸📽🎞🎥🎬 pictures! Next time we go, I'll test out my ⛳putt putt 🏒skills again⛳... it's been even a longer 🕰⏰⏳time for that! Lol! 🏒

My wife called over a month ago to book a birthday party for me. The lady ask how many guest, asked us what date, and then told us the times that were available to book the party. Fast forward to this week, my wife calls to confirm everything was still set in place and the workers tell us they don’t allow private birthday parties and that we were basically liars. They booked it originally for 4:45-6:45pm. Their website still states they have private parties from 4:45pm-6:45pm. My wife spent 50 bucks on custom invitations and 40 dollars on a custom skate themed birthday cake. I grew up skating this place every weekend and we also came to the roller derby events but I will not step foot into the place again. Also, read the review down below where they kicked a family off of the property because of their special needs child’s behavior.
