Probably the best people I've ever met. That's not just in a customer service kind of way. Genuinely good people. After hacking my way through a couple local gun shops that sucked (cough cough, gat guns, cough cough, maxim, cough) found this place and I haven't been to a different shop.

Sadly because Illinois has a bunch of idiots making laws, you can't get any of the fun stuff, but if you're able to get them, (cops, security, etc) their gunsmith Smalls lives and breaths, maybe even eats, Ar15/10's. He can build you a mean setup.

They also have a 3 lane, 30ft range in the back. It's a semi trailer. It's fantastic. And they're RO Ron is awesome. If you can prove you're competent enough to not shoot the hell out of the walls/ceiling, and you ask first, hell most likely let you rapid fire. They also have options to do shooting in different lighting. Lights off - shoot when lit, flashing red white and blue (some cops come there to practice their shooting, and a bunch of other stuff.

They have events every so often where they'll bring out machine guns and they'll have someone grilling. You might find me there sharpening knives.

What a refreshing experience! I have been to chain gun shops and LGS all around the country. At the big ones I often feel like I am treated like some sort of criminal. At the local ones I feel like I am treated like I just interrupted a group of friends hanging out, and I that am not welcome. RMG is the exception: from the minute I walked in everyone was super friendly, welcoming, and relaxed. Best LGS environment hands down! I spoke with their armorer, Smalley, who was just a wealth of knowledge. He helped me find great deals, educated me in such a supportive and non-arrogant manner; like he was just your buddy giving you some advice. Also, he was just an all around good guy. Thank you RMG for bringing some civility and friendliness to the sporting / self defense community which I love. It was much needed and I appreciate you. Can't wait to...

I’ve taken both a beginners firearms class with my wife and their CCL course, and was extremely happy with both classes. The content was thorough and our instructor for both (Jess) is top notch, really helping beginners feel comfortable and super informative for the 2-day CCL course!

Aside from classes, I’ve purchased a few firearms from RMG and each time I received tons of helpful info from John, Tracy and the rest of the staff without any sales pressure… each time walking away with a great deal!

If you haven’t yet visited, you’re missing out because RMG is a great place for firearms, ammo and all your training needs. I’ve got no problem at all patronizing a local business like RMG because they’ve earned every bit of my business!
