E & S international market — Local services in Murfreesboro

Update This was one of our “go to” places for international groceries and food a year ago, but things have gone downhill it seems. 1 year ago we tried some homemade tamales and freshly made burritos, and they were delicious! The tamales are still the best I have ever tasted! I use to think Lopez in Nashville had the best authentic Mexican food, but E&S had them beat hands down…and their prices were better! I think Lopez in Nashville is much better now after my visit on 09/22/2022. I don’t recommend E&S market in Murfreesboro, TN! Update Something happened to the restaurant…maybe there’s new ownership or new cooks, but for whatever reason the 2 beef burritos I ordered today were not good. The rice was mushy, and there was very little beef to speak of. Maybe the cook thought that I’m a vegetarian and only wanted bean and rice burritos. I would give 1 star but the tamales are still good. I had 2 chicken tamales. Maybe they need a new cook, because the current cook is cheating the...

Fast stop. Great place for Mexican food, very authentic, very fresh, and very reasonable. I stopped here at least four times a week and I've never been dissatisfied with the food or service. Great bunch of people that work here. Very helpful and knowledgeable. And the tamales are the best in Tennessee. Do you know the old saying cold today hot tamale LOL...

Sooo, my hubby took me here cause our regular authentic taco 🌮spot wasn't open, but now I'm kinda cheating on our regular spot pretty often lol 😜 I love the food here it's larger here with a bigger variety 😋 and I can buy my seasons and meats etc, while I'm here to make my own Mexican foods! People are very friendly and it is great...
