Mexiven — Restaurant in Murfreesboro

A couple of issues we had with this place. First off we chose this place based on their good reviews as my family wanted tacos. We get there and I called because Google didn't offer any info on if they were open for dine in or just take out. The lady that answered the phone said "yes we're open but we close at 6pm" which was in 20 mins. Meanwhile on Google it said they closed at 10pm. Second they didn't have items that were on their menu. They brought chips and salsa but the chips were stale. My daughter ordered nachos and they used the same chips so the nachos weren't any good. But the biggest surprise and i should've known this place would be overpriced when we walked in they had NO prices on their menu. We ordered anyway because we drove over 20 mins to try this place for the first time and we all wanted tacos. So we eat and get our bill over $75 for TACOS! I asked them to break down the costs and come to find out that the stale nachos were $9 and tacos were $3 each which is more than any other taco place we've ever ate at. We were not impressed and will not come back or recommend this place to anyone. The server was friendly but I feel like they know that they are over charging which is why there are no prices...

The food was awesome and even other customers were walking up after their meals just to compliment how great the food was and saying they definitely wanted to come back. It can be a little pricey, depending on what you buy, but I would say it was definitely worth it. I want to go back to try some of the other stuff on the menu.

I got a combination of chorizo tacos and stewed meat tacos. the chorizo one was my favorite. They also bring you bottles of salsa rojo, salsa verde, and a avocado salsa to top your food with. I tried one on each of my tacos and all of them were great 👍😋

My friend got a steak burrito and the thing was HUGE! He took half of it home with him, because he's tiny and it was almost as big as him haha! He also got churros and we both liked those too 😋

It's also conveniently right next to some Hispanic and Asian markets that I like to go to, so I can pick up things that I can't really find at Kroger or whatever. Next time I'm nearby again, I will definitely stop in to try more of the food! I would recommend...

I keep trying to give this place a chance but I keep getting disappointed each time I go back. The 1st time I went it was awesome and full of flavor. Next time I went back, mom my found a hair in her food, they tried to say it was a piece of the meat...ummm no it was a long hair. 3rd time I went, the meat was "flavorless" and the rice had hard clumps of rice in different spots, as if it had sat there for a while, and the last and final time I went, the meat was very undercooked and very VERY fatty..oh and another thing...the third time my total was $7 something, the 4th time it was $9 something, (ordered the same thing as the 3rd time) and when I asked why the price was different from the week before, the guy told me maybe because it was it twin brother that rang me up...umm ok that makes no sense...
