I am very upset by what happened to us today. I had called a month ago and was told someone would call me back. Today after getting no response from them I called again. I talked to Donna. She is the same person I talked to before I am sure of it by her attitude. They DO NOT stand behind their warranty and change their stories. She was rude and disrespectful. We have purchased a lot of furniture from them. Donna hung up on me when I questioned why I had to call again on the same issue. I was told that lifetime warranty on Lazy Boy really only means 7 years. News flash I have only owned it for 5. She got mad at me when I questioned it. After she hung up I called back and asked for an owner and she said she was the owner. She also indicated that I had asked for warranty too many times. I was appalled! Their delivery team dropped my chair in the driveway when they delivered it and I wanted it fixed. I also exchanged a chair and bought a power one and paid them $250 more! I did have the warranty issue that is also on the reviews on here but that was taken care of. I guess you only get 1 chance with Woodcrafter's to have a warranty issue? She hung up on me again! My husband called back and talked to Coleman and in order to get the mechanism fixed we have to pay $75 service call, plus $40 hour for labor and delivery of the parts and Lazy Boy will cover the part itself. He also said that the State decides how long the furniture warranty will be for lifetime? This is completely crazy! They also told us they only keep records for 1 year! Bet the IRS loves that audit! What happened to just saying "I'm so sorry this has happened to you let's see what we can do to help you."? If it all shakes out that you can't help then so be it but at least try and don't make me out to be the enemy. So buyer be ware of this business because if you happen to have more than one warranty issue you will get tagged! They won't have to worry about my business anymore because I won't buy another thing from them. Believe me there are a lot of furniture stores out there and they will gladly take my business. I wanted white vinyl parsons chairs. The did not have any in stock so I worked with Betty, looking through catalogs to find some. We looked at several books. She showed me one that fit my needs and she wrote up the order. Waited THREE MONTHS!!! Went to pick them up today and they are TAN. I am told that the staff there could have no way of knowing that the picture in the book was not accurate. This sounded reasonable to me, I was then told that I should have known that the picture was not accurate. Therefore, I must pay a 25% ($100) restocking fee to even order something else. Well, in legal speak, they are correct, but in integrity and customer satisfaction, what is LEGAL AND WHAT IS RIGHT are very often two different things. They were super helpful and amazing to work with when my husband and I were looking for a new couch. It was the first place we went to and we found exactly what we wanted for an amazing price!
