I just moved from New York to kentucky. When I lived in New York I visited a couple of Ashley furniture stores and never bought anything. I drove by Ashley in Murray many times and said out loud I am not going there for furniture. I am the kind of person that no matter the price, if the person isn't nice I will not give them my money. I went to a furniture store up the street from Ashley and the guy was cold as ice. I said ok I will walk in Ashley and see what happens. I was flored by a girl named Hannah. She is new and when she needed assistance she asked her trainer Stacy. I was in the store mabey 15 minutes and bought a couch and 2 recliners and a bed. Hannah called to set up delivery and I have a meeting with her Saturday to pick out a dresser and bunk beds. I am someone who hates shopping unless I am shopping for someone else. They were not only professional, helpful, and courteous, but they found ways to save me money that I did not know existed. After I remodel my basement I will be back to see Hannah. I being in customer service mgmt for 30yrs I know it takes a special breed of person to survive and prosper in retail and I hope that Ashley mgmt in murray kentucky knows that Hannah and Stacy are keeper's and treat them as good as they treat there customers. Sometimes in retail mgmt forgets there business is not successful without a good staff. Read moreStay clear of this place. They will tell you anything you want to hear so they can get a sale. When I bought my items I was told I would be getting new from the box and ended up getting the floor model. I was a little upset but was going to let it go. I wanted to make a return on the furniture that had to be ordered. Got a call from the "manager" Steven about my return. When I tried to tell him that I felt like I had been lied to, he got very upset and started yelling at me over the phone, and calling me a liar and hung up on me twice. After the second time of being hung up on, I decided I would like to return the sofa and recliner I purchased as well. A customer that spends any amount of money should never be treated this way. I was even told I was never welcome to shop here again. Honestly I will never shop here again and will always tell people to stay clear of this place unless for some reason there is a change in management. I am not upset with anyone here other than the manager that treated me so poorly. Thank you to Olivia from the Paducah store. She was willing to hear me out and help resolve the issue. Read moreThis is an awful store that will lock customers with financing and then will not close the agreement with the financing company once payments are made. I paid in full, beyond the amount of financing, because of additional purchases. I was told that I owed no more money, including the financing company. However koalifi continues to make withdrawals from my bank account. This financing company has very bad reviews with the BBB. Many customers complain of inflated charges, unauthorized withdrawals after full payment, and reporting to credit bureaus of false information. After a customer pays off the balance, the store staff should send the paperwork to the financing company, per store policy. However, this store will not assist me in closing the matter. I am expected to deal with koalifi myself now. It appears that I will end up paying much more for items that were discontinued and/or discounted.
