So I might have posted last year that this was the best lake in Michigan. Well this year it's changed. DO NOT GO INTO THE WATER HERE. IT HAS A TON OF POISONOUS ALGE. if you don't believe me go look for yourself then when you look it up on MLive it confirms my statement. There is no signs at this particular beach or pre warning. Nothing that states not to swim in the water. It's covered in green jellies. Th green jellies are a harmful toxic ALGE. From ALGE blooms. Please don't go here this year. Stay away. Definitely one of West Michigan's hidden gems! The dunes and trees alone make this a Pure Michigan destination. With a beautiful, spacious beach and nice facilities at the beach house, you would think it would be continually crowed during the summer. Nice little spot with plenty of picnic tables and grills. The bathrooms are not very well maintained and are in pretty poor shape. The beach gets pretty busy during the summer, but there is more than enough parking and the beach area is huge.
