Today my mother, my two children, and myself. Were in the wave pool. As we were swimming with my children. About six other children were jumping into the pool, at the 3 foot area!!! A life guard was notified by my mother. The life guard told my mother that jumping into the pool was allowed. My mother then told the guard someone was going to get hurt. Soon after (3-4 minutes) a little boy went to jump into the pool where the ropes are at. When he ran to jump into the pool he slid, busted his head open and went unconscious for a few minutes. When this happed the life guard did not rescue the child, another child got him out of the water. When the guard noticed blood coming from the back of the child's head. She then wanted to "rush" (she calmly walked to the end of the pool) into action. When we tried to tell the manager and authorities what happened they didn't want to hear it and told us to go on about our business. Blood all in the pool they didn't make anyone get out of the pool and also bandaged his head in the pool. After everything calmed down. We were leaving not wanting my children to play in the water any longer. We walked past a glove that was used on the child that was not thrown away properly. Laying on the ground for anyone to step...
Read moreThis place was PACKED FULL on a hot Saturday, as to be expected, it seems there is no person limit/Max capacity to the pool. Great shaded area under the trees with a few picnic tables. This place could really REALLY benefit from having some deck chairs out in front of the wave pool to maximize the space. Not a lot of seating or places to set up that aren’t in direct sunlight. Pool had about 200 people in it at all times. Lifeguards were jumping in to pull out the same kids repeatedly after jumping in off the wall where they can’t touch the floor. They jumped in about 15 times in the two hours we were there. Most young children appeared to be unattended at all times which was wild.
Tubes were hard to come by as well, likely due to the amount of people at this place all at the same time.
Water was refreshing and a good getaway from the craziness of Nashville, and about the only swimming option available in the area if you’re trying to cool down for under $100. Tickets were cheap - adults were $12 a piece, and carry ins were welcome too...
Read more4/24/2022. I just wanted to thank the Norse Goddess of a life guard that calmly help me and my son in the water. It’s her job I know but she and her compadre were a sense of comfort before fear could set in.
My son I were just floating along enjoying the Sun and water, floated too far into the deep end. At the warning sound of the waves, I was trying to get him back to the shallow end of the pool but was not fast enough. The wave rushed over my head, my glasses fell off, the wave pushed my son back into the deep end. Good grief! That Norse Goddess of a lifeguard was on me in seconds, had the waves stopped, and had me and my son back to the shallow end of the pool before I could even panic.
She was professional and so kind and so was the other life guard that helped her. She was able to pull a woman twice her size to safety. The one thing I can say about Wave Country, their lifeguards know their job, they get to you before panic sets in, and their professional.
Lost a star for the bathroom -yikes- but everything else was...
