TL;DR: Amazing place to skate that seems rough when you first get there, would recommend this park for intermediate to advanced skaters.
First impressions when I started learning to skate and went here weren't the greatest. It's got patchy areas that make it hard to keep speed, and it felt intimidating with how large the park was. I learned more about carving in smaller bowls and kick turning on ramps, and when it finally clicked on how to ride around, the bowl area had been super freeing and honestly became one of my favorite skateparks to visit.
Going back to the more open area on the right of the entrance, I found more respect in recent days. If you're more of a transition/street skater, this is a fun spot to try out. I've seen some skaters who absolutely kill it here.
The people I've met here have all been super nice, the skater community all around Tennessee has been absolutely amazing and this is no exception.
About the really deep bowl on the furthest part of the park, be warned: I've seen many a weary traveler enter, and have yet to see one return... (but seriously, the guys who skate here are absolute monsters who...
Read moreShowing its age and lack of maintenance. * update- most bowl areas are completely covered with bad graf- I like graffiti but this stuff is awful.* deck surfaces continue to deteriorate and become closer to gravel than cement.More than a few areas at the bottom of the transitions that are potholed. It’s obviously never been sealed. Water drainage issues leave mud on the street area after rain.Good flow and layout but needs an updating and basic maintenance. Large bowl is barely skated and falling apart. Space could be better utilized than a ten foot bowl . Not much area for little kids, skatepark design has improved since...
Read moreGood place to go to learn some basics. Warning though, a lot of the more popular parts of the park are worn down and it needs to be redone. Also please don't let your kids run wild here. People are going fast and kids don't look where they are going. Please try teaching them skatepark etiquette before letting them loose so they don't hurt themselves and others. Other than that most people who come here are pretty friendly to everyone no matter what...
