A little expensive compared to most other places but it's convenient, friendly staff, and their restaurant is so good- my only complaints are that I wish they'd restock their items more often and when they do they'd add more of those items (lost count how many times i'd go there and the shelves would be bare for weeks and the rare times it was restocked there'd only be one or two items tops very rarely is there ever a section that's completely full and I can't tell you how annoying it is to need something, only having time to make that one stop can't race to other stores hoping it's there or have the time to order online, and being greeted by empty shelves especially if it's an emergency), make sure to double check the quality/dates of the items in your "fresh" bakery section (i've only purchased from that section 3 times and all 3 times there was something wrong with the product got food poisoning once and the other times I could tell it was off by the smell thank goodness I checked before eating it so now I cringe every time I walk by that section that bout of food poising makes me really scared to try any of those products again), and give all customers the same treatment (no matter if they're buying in store or buying from you through Instacart because every time i've asked if they had an out of stock item on the shelve in the back they'd say no or wouldn't check but with Instacart they'll happily go back there and check... not sure why they do that because no matter which way we're buying we're still paying customers) plus the store is tiny and there's always a lot of staff on site a lot of which aren't busy so keeping items in stock, double checking products, and going it the back isn't a big deal a couple minutes tops to do.
If those issues were corrected it'd easily be a 5/5 experience...
Read moreMy wife and I are truck drivers, we run from plant city Florida to Charlotte nc 5 days a week transferring groceries. We discovered hwy 321 when i95 was shut down because of a accident. What a beautiful ride nice to get off the interstate system, its actually cuts 30 miles off our trip, it does add 30 minutes for all the slowing down for the small towns, we stopped at the piggy wiggle this evening, now we are going threw hard/scary times with this virus going around. First I want to tip my hat yall had parking for big trucks, went in very very clean, people were acting normal, its the first time I have seen toilet paper on the shelves in 2 weeks, people are not being rude to one another. They had everything we needed, well except hand sanitizer but let's face it you ain't getting any right now. Price's were super fair there was no price mark ups. Yall need to be thankful for your small town and each other, very refreshing experience, we can't say thank you enough, we look forward to stopping here again, but never to get more then we need, and people please please remember our elderly in these times they are just as scared and not certain of what is going on. Thank you piggy wiggly and thank you small town...
Read moreI've probably driven past this place a dozen times traveling to my in-laws. Finally decided to stop and check it out. We've said several times, "A Pig? With a restaurant? We've got to try that!" Yesterday was the day. The menu is about what you would expect for a rural country diner. Hot dogs, burgers, corn dogs, chicken salad sandwiches...the like. I had the hot dog plate. Two dogs with chili and onions and fries and a soft drink. $5.88? And it was good. Everything we had was good. Service was prompt, payment (less than $30 for a family of four?!) processed quickly, in and out in less than an hour at noon on a Saturday.
Definitely seems to be a social focal point of the community. Not sure what, of any other places there are to grocery shop or eat out in the area, but this place was packed. Everyone seemed to know each other and spoke. Some even to us. It was fun to be a part of the community for a bit.
The grocery store appeared well stocked. Lots of local proteins that aren't available in larger metro areas, so that's good. Prices seemed in line with what one would expect in 2023.
If you're passing through, plan to stop. It will be...
