A cautionary tale Honestly wish zero stars were an option but please parents of Hocking College students think long and hard about having your student go for care here. The 1st week of December my student was stepped on by a horse during farrier class and unable to put weight on her foot she was transported here. No doctor ever examined her, an X-ray was done and no break was seen. I believe a dr did read the X-ray as I’m getting insurance statement from doctors associated with a radiology practice. The nurse practitioner that I believe looked at her(again from insurance claims)sent her back to school nothing for pain, no boot, no crutches, no instructions, nothing. The next day I got a call at work she was struggling to walk. She tried calling the urgent care and no one would answer the phone. I’m 3 hrs away. I called them and got thru gave them her number and they did at least call her. Campus police transported her back to urgent care they gave her crutches, no one looked at her. After that locals spoke up and said “don’t go there”. I rearranged my schedule for Friday made the drive so I could bring her home and have her examined in Cincinnati Saturday by a reputable orthopedic practice. Thankfully I did she ended up in a boot for 2 weeks, was given care instructions, home exercises and a follow up visit. A fracture wasn’t ruled out until 10 days after it had happened. Now I’m getting bills from this place for horrendous care and they are 10 times what the bills were from the Orthopedic office where the care was outstanding. Parents please warn your students. This place may be fine if you have bronchitis or something but it was definitely not for an...
Read moreHave been to this urgent care previously, but over this past weekend will be my last. Had been sick and in bed for 4 days, to come into here and been treated by a "MEDICAL EXPERT" like a child. Made fun of, and laughed at to my face. Never received paperwork upon leaving explaining my condition, medications that would be given. No idea how to make things better to get rest or sleep due to my illness. Receptionist and initial nurse who took me to me back to room were GREAT!! But definitely not impressed by "the bedside manner or sympathetic approach" of staff member that treated me.
**Not sure what reaching out to you to discuss this would change. I already commented my nurse and the receptionist were great. It was the nurse practitioner that was the issue. Maybe check to see who was on duty the afternoon of 11/19/2023. There in lies the problem, bad day or not don't laugh at patients or make fun of them. Not...
Read moreIF I COULD RATE ZERO STARS I WOULD! THE RECEPTIONIST TURNED ME AWAY!!! STATING I NEED AN APPOINTMENT FOR AN URGENT CARE!!!!
I walked in at 6:40 pm. They don't close until 8pm. There was ONLY ONE car in the parking lot! The receptionist Tonya decides she did not want to deal with a walk in. She says "we are not seeing anyone past 7:30." I said "well its only 6:45" looking right at her wall clock next to her desk. Her reply "well our appointments are all taken" EXCUSE ME! Isn't this an URGENT CARE WALK IN FACILITY! There was literally one car in the parking lot! Probably belongs to her! Ridiculous you turn people away that need to be seen. I do not care if you are close in distance to me! I will absolutely take my business elsewhere now after your rudeness and lack of customer service! YOU WERE NOT BUSY WITH ONE CAR IN THE...
