Usually I don't have much of a problem here, yesterday was different. I went in for a migraine. I sat in the waiting room over 3 hrs. When I finally saw a doctor I was prescribed a migraine cocktail. I am bruised all over both arms. It hurts very very much and has hurt this whole time. According to the woman that administered it, I supposedly got some good pain killer in that IV but it did absolutely NOTHING. As jealous as she appeared to be that I was being given that medicine, I would have thought it would actually help. It felt as though i was only given the Benadryl. I was there from 3:30 until about 9. I have "tiny veins", the lab tech that was called in to deal with my tiny veins proceeded to TORTURE me with a really Large needle, ROUGHLY jabbing though my veins, while cursing my 'tiny veins ' and REFUSING to switch to butterfly needle and REFUSING TO STOP even though I was shaking uncontrollably and had cold sweat POURING down my face. When I saw my Dr 2 days later, in the same building, he dismissed all the pain I was in saying that it will heal and "Well, what could she have done?" She could have used a butterfly needle, she could have stopped, she could have not tortured me. I was in CONSTANT PAIN for more than 3 months, it still hurts more than 9 months later.

I was just at this hospital due to terrible chronic anxiety couldn’t eat couldn’t sleep and dr. Christy Walter listened to me helped me got a plan of treatment started for me & not only that she went as far as giving me one of her business cards with mental health help that she does and i was in a really bad place and she truly cared and listened to me im so beyond thankful for her and all the nursing staff were polite and talked to me and helped me get through a really hard place im so thankful to them

I’m beyond disappointed. Disgusted. And so highly annoyed. I took my son (2yrs old) to the ER last night for a nurse maid elbow (dislocated elbow) he has a history of this and it easily can happen since it’s happened before. I knew this and let them know he had gotten his elbow pulled out from his arm being stuck in his jacket while being taken off. (Yes I know it can happen) I let them know this has happened prior to to the same elbow with the same pain and everything. The nurses and the receptionist were great. Understanding and everything, but however Dr Ha Hatley was not. And unfortunately that was my sons doctor this passed night. She automatically as soon as seeing us (two young parents and a 2 yr old) had a pre conceived notion that I was abusing my child. she told me that my story was not adding up that he wouldn’t be in this much pain from removing a jacket / from nurse maids elbow, and after letting her know this has happened before that he has a history and we had been told prior he is more susceptible. she gave me a look and had a x -ray done (totally fine to make sure nothing else was done) what wasn’t fine she didn’t show me it didn’t have a radiologist to look over it, and didn’t let me know anything besides assuming it was a fracture. She said “Questionable fracture” Called children’s mercy and I could hear her on the phone across the room area and she was not only insinuating my “story” was false but saying that it didn’t add up. This was said to the mercy hospital staff. She came in after the call checked my son for bruises (obviously she found nothing because he is a well taken care of child) and kept saying how it was odd and that it didn’t make since. My son was put in a splint and told to wait until Monday for children’s mercy to call us ( yes 4 days with no answer) the nice nurse putting the splint on my son made me aware a cps would most likely be opened and we would be investigated do to the nature of the incident. (This has happened to him 2 other times and the doctors just reset his elbow and he was perfectly fine within 5 minuets) so I went to eldorado hospital/ clinic the very next morning for a second opinion and within an hour they told me no fracture was found (agreed on by 2 doctors and a radiologist ) and the splint made his nurse made elbow worse and more sore causing him to be in more pain for longer since it was not put into place soon after it had happened like I was trying to do. I am so honestly devastated how fast things were switched on a mother just trying to care for her child. And how quickly with no evidence I was turned into something I am not. My child now is in pain in his arm and having trouble using it do to soreness of being out of place over night. All because one neglectful, judgmental, non professional doctor. Nevada mo fire this horrible doctor. And if you ask me if I recommend this hospital I say absolutely not. I will no longer support the Nevada hospital. I had a prenatal visit with Nevada and I am now transferring to Pittsburgh. And will do all needed clinic and hospital visits in eldo where the doctors care about the well being of...

Our son was seen in ER weeks ago for a work injury. The doctor who saw him, told him to go back to work. Well, thank God his safety manager said no and took him elsewhere. Long story short the doctor that saw him next identified the issue immediately. My son had surgery to repair the damage He is on the mend No thanks to NRMC's ER. My husband is taken to the ER. He has back and neck issues on top of other issues. He has cronic pain. He falls often and fell about a week ago. The pain became very bad over New Year's. He has an appointment to see his family doctor and his pain management doctor both in a few days, and was trying to push through, but he began getting muscle spasms that we're just more than he could tolerate. He also started experiencing numbness in his toes in his left foot. So off to the ER. The bed was too high for him to get up on so I asked if he could just sit in the chair. The nurse said " No, I need to take his blood pressure." Well that machine has wheels and moves easily. The chair moves too. The doctor at NRMC walked to his bed like she was being bothered. She made us feel we we're a bother She asked my husband what he had taken for the pain and he told her. her list includes 2 Advil every 6 hours. When he said that she replied, with a whole lot of attitude, "my 8 year old child takes that dose" . Well that's what the bottle says to take and he already takes enough pills to choke a horse! She was so rude that at one point I said " can we get another doctor?" I was all for leavin. She was supposed to be helping my husband not making him feel worse. My husband stayed. When she left the room my husband said "I just hurt too bad to get back in and out of the car. You know how freaked out I get riding in the car, especially in the dark." So he was in so much pain he took what she dished out. How sad is that. Then she was asked to give him the muscle relaxer before the ex-ray so he'd be in a bit less pain. She said yes but that isn't what happened. On the way out the door they told him he could take tylenol with his meds but not Advil even though he takes medication with Tylenol in it and can't take that. I can't...
