Iguana Azul — Restaurant in Nevada

We rolled in 25 minutes before posted closing time. Hostess told us they stopped serving in ten minutes. She was visibly upset and confused (maybe even angry) that customers had the audacity to be hungry at 8:35, and her manner was quite rude. Server Ben was very professional and efficient. Food was standard fair: Not horrible, not great. No desire to return. Better options in town. Two additional points. First, you have 100% freedom as a business to decide your own hours. If you wish to close at 8:30 or whatever, please do so. However, hours were posted as 9:00. The late customer's money is "just as green" as anyone else's, as Grandad used to say. Second, Mexican food generally, and certainly what we ordered, is basically scoop-scoop- melt cheese and done. We were paid and gone by 9:05, mostly because we felt so unwelcome. Was it so important to you to create such a negative customer experience because you were afraid to stay a few minutes late?...

Traveled all the way from Joplin to eat at this place used to be my favorite when we were closer but when we were seated today my ten-year-old and I were seated in the bar with loud cussing gentleman very drunk and the waitress was too busy flirting with the gentleman to be taking care of our meat when I express my disappointment at the checkout all I got was an apology not at this kind of discount my meal anything that we can do to make this better for you just to this is your field thank you have a nice day.. was so very disappointed could not even enjoy my mood food had to take it to go and didn't even try to make it right I'm very very disappointed in this place obviously has went downhill in...

The food was fair. Not great but not bad although it was a bit overpriced for what it was. Cheese/spinach dip appetizer was $8 or $9 and was serves at the same time as the entrees but was barely warm.

Unfortunately, this is one of the growing number of restaurants which is trying to generate a new revenue stream for themselves by adding a surprise surcharge to the bill if paying with credit. And, unlike most places that do this, there is nothing on the receipt which states they will do this. They simply added the charge and ran my card. I strongly recommend avoiding this place. If they can’t be trusted not to steal your money, do you really want to trust them...
