I would not recommend Nonn’s to anyone. The only reason I didn’t rate them a one star is due to their competitive pricing. We outfitted an entire home in new appliances. The Nonn’s delivery team did not coordinate the delivery schedule with our builder. I received a random call one day from the Nonn’s driver telling me that they were going to leave if somebody didn’t let them in our newly built home. Well, that’s hard to coordinate when you didn’t even tell the builder or myself when you were planning on showing up. They ended up getting in because our builder dropped everything to come and let them in. Next, the delivery guys damaged various things in our new home: a newel post in our foyer and an electrical outlet in our laundry room. The latter created a situation where our house was no longer to electrical code. The guys jammed a gas line connect into a tight spot that obviously wasn’t big enough to fit a straight connect. In doing so they broke the outlet, exposing a natural gas line to raw electrical. They left without saying a peep. We had to call them after we found the issue on move-in day. We then had to fight to get Nonn’s to cover the bill for the HVAC guy to come out and fix the outlet and gas line. They finally did. However, they never fixed the damaged newel post. At that point though I wanted nothing to do with them so we simply took care of it ourselves. Next, our refrigerator (upon delivery!) had a very loud compressor and a freezing issue. We received no support from Nonn’s in resolving the issue, and are still dealing with it today (directly with the manufacturer). All in all, Nonn’s may offer a competitively priced set of products. Unfortunately, that is heavily outweighed by a lack in service and support. I would have gladly paid more to get appliances from a company that stood behind its workforce and its product. Nonn’s does neither. Thanks for a terrible experience. We will never buy from this place again.
Edit: Thank you for your response, Nonn’s. We still haven’t heard from you though. It’s been 3 weeks. Potential customers should know that Nonn’s doesn’t follow through on its promises. The comments here...
Read moreThis is my first time ever leaving a bad review for something, but I felt I had to do so. I am a home builder in the lake country area and had clients go in to Nonns and order a $35,000 kitchen appliance package (not exaggerating on the dollar amount). Out of the 52 subcontractors and vendors used for this build they were by far the most unprofessional, had absolutely poor service, and the installation methods used on the appliances were below low income housing standards. To begin, they come to the job site a week early to measure for all of the appliances. On the day of install they used siding material that was on site to construct make shift ramp completely destroying the material. After destroying the material they left it lay in the middle of the front yard. The range hood insert did not fit even though they came to measure the week before. They ended up leaving the installation with the stove in the middle of the kitchen with parts scattered throughout the home. This was two days before closing. They damaged the appliance cord for the range. When confronted about it they instructed me that they would install a new one. When I left, they tried to repair the existing cord by bending the electrical prongs with a pliers. They installed a microwave in the island and used scrap pieces of plywood in the garage to shim the microwave in place. When I called the salesman about all of this he said he would call me back in the next 30 minutes. Of course, he never called back, even after several messages by multiple people in my company. I will never recommend anyone to shop there. Very unprofessional, poor service and poor...
Read moreWe recently had a home built for us by a local builder. we chose our flooring through Malkin's. We installed about 1800 sq ft of engineered wood floors in our home. when the time came to install our floors we received a phone call telling us that the floor that had been delivered to our home site was the wrong floor - the boxes were labeled correctly but the contents were different. This was obviously an error from the manufacturer. We were very disappointed and had to choose an alternative because our original choice was on back-order. Fast forward 1 1/2 weeks and the new floor was delivered to our home site. Again we receive a call. This time the floor we had chosen was of such inferior quality that it could not be installed. Again this was a manufacturer problem.
We received a personal call with apologies from Marty and went to the flooring store to pick out another floor. Needless to say, this was a very stressful course of events. We were able to pick out a new floor of better quality than we had originally chosen and did not have to pay any extra. We are much happier with our substitute floor than we would have been with our original choice. We are very pleased with how Marty made things right for us by taking the blame for something that was a series of unfortunate coincidences that were out of his direct control. I will definitely be going back to Malkin's for any future flooring needs based upon the excellent...
