We started going to Prospect Hill three or four years ago. Their beautiful trees, shrubs and perennials really do, āMake every normal day abnormally beautiful!ā We have bought seeds, bulbs, started vegetable plants, tons of flowers and flowering trees and⦠Last year our seven year old daughter got a little digital camera. She loved taking pictures of magnolia and red bud trees. Naturally we went to Prospect Hill and she picked two redbuds out and one magnolia. This year they are the healthiest happiest little (growing fast) trees you have ever seen. They lit up like Christmas in early spring. We have many rose plants from Prospect and many varieties of flowering perennial bushes and plants. From the time Wisconsin thaws until the next winter there is something in bloom in our yard from Prospect Hill.
Their hanging baskets are amazing. They can seem pricy but they are worth every penny (you need to water them every day). People love them. Not sure exactly how they do it with the hanging baskets but it is like the flowers are super charged on plant adrenalin flowering bigger and brighter all summer.
It used to seem like you could go to the big hardware stores and find a great plant or two at a value. Over the last half dozen years it feels like there are two entirely different sub species of the same plants for sale and Prospect Hills are superior in every regard. Perennials that grow back bigger and better every year are awesome. We add instead of replace horticulture with Prospect Hill plants.
Our children look forward to going to Prospect Hill for pumpkins and fall decorations too. The children also love to feed the llama and goats in the little petting zoo: back right from where you walk in. They have the best garden tools if you are willing to invest in a great weed puller or the perfect transplanting shovel. The stainless steel shovel with the colorful looped handles is far and away they best shovel for planting. Buy one, youāll see, it just is.
Being growers of great plants right here in Wisconsin these people just get it. The owners seem like the most decent down to earth people and everyone working knows plants or gets you someone who does fast when you have questions. They sell the best shovel because thatās what they want to use, tools that do the job and make it easy. Their people in the yard or green house have helped me get grass to finally grow on the shady side of the house, to establish great plants in perpetual shade and plants that can grow in an area of our lawn that floods, all plants that truly add to our landscape.
We love plants and we LOVE Prospect Hill.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery wide selection of all kinds of flowers, plants, arrangements. VERY clean, nice areas to walk from one section to another. There is a small petting zoo in back- goats and a llama. The staff is very knowledgeable, and very patient. The lady I asked for help was obviously very busy, but dropped everything to show me a plant I asked about. There was also a nice man there. didn't get either's name, but they were both awesome. I will go back . As for the negative reviews, it seems these people thought they were going to a petting zoo or pumpkin farm. It's a nursery with the petting zoo being a...

I'm 5 feet tall and always had to ask someone to follow me around to reach my baskets at other places which I felt I had to hurry but not here. Someone was thinking. Plus they r reasonably priced and the baskets are beautiful. Will definitely come here every year. Highly recommend...
