My Bosch oven needed to have the timer board replaced in August 2020. Bosch was unable to schedule a repair until October, but I figured that BSH Appliance repair would be most familiar with the product and be able to do the job easily, so I waited. When the technician showed up, it was as if he had never seen a Bosch oven before. He struggled to figure out how to open it up and eventually had to call the home office for advice. After he left, I turned on the lower over (it is a double over), and it immediately shorted out the electrical circuit. I reported this to Bosch, and they scheduled a return visit for late November. I also requested that they send someone more familar with the product, but evidently there is no one else, and the same less-than-competent technician returned, this time with the diagnosis that "it needs a part" (details unspecified). In January of 2021, I called BSH again, was told that the part had arrived, and was given a March date for it to be installed. The technician (same guy, unfortunately) never showed up, but called to explain that it was because the oven needed a part which he did not have. After I challenged that excuse, he agreed to come a week later, which he did - but it was as if he had never seen my over (or any other) before. He concluded that it needed a part which he would look into ordering and get back to me. At this point I called Bosch again and insisted that they send someone who could do more than just show up and make random pronouncement, and they agreed to transfer the job to a 3rd party (non-Bosch) authorized repair service. The technician associated with this company - Alpha NE Electronics - showed up one day later, and he was immediately able to see that the timer board had been installed incorrectly, crimping the wires against the oven chassis, and causing the short. He spent five minutes fixing it, and everything has been fine since then. Unfortunately, Bosch was unwilling to pay for Alpha NE to fix what their own technician had broken (despite an alleged warranty on their original repair), and I so I had to pay twice for the work to...
Read moreI couldn't give any less than one star for this review... It's been close to two months we are dealing with a repair for a Bosch refrigerator we've purchased at a local appliance store that hasn't been fixed yet. Just when you think you are buying a quality brand name, since their prices are very high, our high end refrigerator, for which we paid close to $2500+$250 for a 5 year (no lemon) warranty, it broke in less than 3 years. Between dealing with the appliance store we purchase it from with that 5 year warranty, we have to deal with the insurance company and Bosch directly which, on one of my latest phone calls to Bosch, the "so called" customer service representative hung up on me while I was expressing my frustration over their product's performance (I know, shame on me...! I didn't write down his name when he took my call, so I could share with everyone). A piece of advice for that peace of mind one might be looking for when buying a high end large Bosch appliance? Answer: avoid Bosch at all cost. Also, do not spend your money on that "no lemon" warranty because it does turn sour when you need to get that protection they promise that your appliance will be working as good as the time of purchase. This piece of information was told to me by a Bosch Supervisor named Kaleb (?), when I called to complain about the "so called customer service representative" hanging up on me, he told me if you buy an extended warranty from your local appliance store, it limits them, Bosch, at how they can service your repair...is that a...
Read moreThis is a review for Bosch Customer Service, the company, their recall program overall, but who knows how I can review that. It's awful. I have a recalled dishwasher. It took 2.5 months(and many wrong addresses on their part) for me to even process the recall to get 40% off a new dishwasher. It was awful, but I thought I was in the clear when I finally got a claim number. I bought a dishwasher and all the information I received after that was that it would be shipped in the next day or so. For two weeks, that is all it said on their website. Finally, I called, spoke with 3 different people to find out that it wouldn't be available until the end of June. I know that things are delayed because of coronavirus, and I accept that. But I wanted to know if there was a different model that may be available sooner, because really, I just need ANY dishwasher at this point. Not possible. An hour and 4 people later, plus a hang up on their part, no one, not one person could tell me how I may find out which dishwashers would be available soonest, or even seemed to care to find out. In fact, everyone I spoke with would interrupt me to say it wasn't their department. Well, I called the numbers I was given. As far as I can tell, Bosch has no desire to help it's customers affected by recalls. Everything is so decentralized, no one can answer my question or complete more than one step in the process. Now I guess I just decide to I wait until june, or do I forgo the 40% discount and pay full price for another brand, because this is...
