Dollar General — Local services in New Franklin

Of the two dollar general stores closest to me this used to be the one I'd choose... not any more. I went there a couple weeks ago and the store was a mess and out of a lot of things. I went back about a week ago and the store is a disaster and out of all the same stuff plus lots more. Literally one bottle of generic bleach on the shelves.. no name brand. No vinegar. No 2% milk. Nothing but a couple ripped open cases of paper towels. I could go on and on. I ended up leaving with nothing and going to a different dollar general. They had almost nothing I needed. And, what they did have in stock... half of it was on the floor or falling off the shelves. I'm 40 yrs old and I seriously don't think I've ever seen a store in worse condition and out of so much stuff. I'll probably never go back to this dollar general. I wish I had thought...

I love this Dollar General. I feel that this DG is usually understaffed, in my opinion, but the staff has always been friendly and as helpful as they can be. I wanna give a huge shout out to Lena! That girl is a fantastic worker! If there is a long line at the checkout and she's not there, I leave and come back later. She is SO incredibly efficient and professional. Could there be a more perfect place? the brand is great sure, but this store specifically here in Manchester is absolutely amazingly perfect. every visit (2 or 3 times a week) the place is stocked, its clean the ppl are fast, friendly and super helpful. I am moving away to Columbus and one of the places i will miss the most is this dollar general. seriously its that amazing.
