This camp is life changing for scouts of all ages.
The staff is incredible and deserves everything in the world. The campfire programs are awesome and the staff are great performers! I love the idea of merit badge classes, everyone gets to learn about their interests. I love the food and constant action of camp, especially the competitions like the Fire Hose, The Voice, or Bug Wall. I always attend these activities and gain so much life experience. As an SPL, I always am begging for my campers to go to this camp, even those who hate Scouting and are forced to go still find enjoyment here. This camp was life changing for me, I used to hate camping and everything about it but here changed my mind on everything. I go week 2 every single year, and I like how all of the troops who go week 2 every year become a little family. I have made so many lifelong friends there. Even though I only see them one week a year, I enjoy seeing them and hearing about their lives in other places. I cried when I had to leave, this place is incredible.
You know I loved it when I cried to the Sequassen loyalty song. I love those lyrics, especially verse 3.
And when the day comes that we are leaving We’ll smile and cheer and sing our song For we’ll return to our Camp Sequassen It’s the place good scouts belong
And I indeed will return. Thank you to the entire Camp Sequassen team for making this camp one of my favorite places on earth.
Just a couple notes/ questions from my week 2:
Did Jerome get a bear after the friendship fire Thursday night?
If the golden buzzer girl goes professional someday, I was at her original performance at handicrafts! (You should have chose Simon!)
Bug Wall is just a dance party!?
Im going to miss you Ryan! Happy birthday!
“Alright, I can draw a line from my left ear to my right ear:)”
No LiNe!!
Duck Day will always remain as the tradition right?
Well, Thats the end of my essay. This camp changed my life, and I hope the response person actually leaves me a legit/long comment.
It’s the place good...
Read moreHeard this was an excellent camp...the favorite of our Troop Leader's son so dropped our son off for a 2 week stay. The camp was nicely laid out and beautifully kept. The staff were very polite and helpful. Our son said he felt weird there bc it is so nice looking compared to the camps he is used to. Lol!! We know he's having a great time with all the activities planned. He even left his cell phone at home saying, "I won't want it. I'll fall into bed at night." We drove nearly 3 hours to drop him off and will be there to pick him up. Cannot WAIT to hear all about his adventures! Signed up for Eagle and Discover Adventure weeks. Hope they go tubing since the rain has left a great river flow! We love the Scout Program. 2022 Update: He loved the CT Troop he bunked with and they enjoyed him so invited him back again this summer!! He's really looking forward to 2 more weeks in CT. Thank you for providing such a satisfying...
Read moreI am a Boy Scout, so I attend this campsite. It is a truly wonderful place to be. The staff are great, the camp is big, with a open field for sports, several camping sites, a shooting range for rifles and bow and arrows, as well as shotguns, but you have to be over 14 to use the shotguns. There is also a trading Post with various treats and items. The food as well is very well made. There is also a beautiful pond that you can swim in. There is also the Hermit Springs, which is fresh water you can drink from. You can get lots done at Sequassen, so come enjoy yourself here at Sequassen, as long as your a Boy Scout. It is a...
