The CARE Center Thrift Store — Local services in New Hope

I must say these people are awesome whether in the Furniture Store or the Thrift Store! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!! I shop for numerous folks all over the area looking for good buys and they are always so helpful and I have always received assistance! Yesterday for instance I had my list for all the folks, moms, churches, disabled, vets...and friends from toney, harvest, hazel green....i always have a list for each person. Before I knew it when paying I got side tracked they are so efficient and prompt the guys loaded up a filing cabinet, i was standing at the counter unlocked my car for them paid for the items at the counter. Went to place the items I paid for in the car and be certain that the filing cabinet was going to fit in the back seat, to many things were happening very fast! I had to return to the counter was my fault but i forgot to ask for my receipt for the things in the bag, i went back in to pay for the filing cabinet. And wrote the amount on the back for the first purchase! I come in this store numerous times a week for so many people they make things happen so fast at this store it is wonderful! I simply love dealing with these honest Godly warm people and recommend this place to everyone! I enjoy the caring happy faces i see every visit and am so thankful this store is here to bless those out there in need! Our country is suffering now with insurance etc... One of my favorite places to shop. It doesn't matter what you are looking for, check here first. The store is always clean. The staff work very hard keeping the shelves full and organized. The prices are good, and the selection is even better. Everyone there seems to love what their doing. They are always willing to help with what ever you need. One time I witnessed an older gentleman praying for a young mother and her babies right beside the dresses. I often have a good feeling wash over me when I leave. My spirit feels, renewed... if you will. The Care Center offers much more than a used dresser, or last years cleats. Whatever you're looking for, whether it's clothes or compassion , you'll find it there. So I would recommend checking them out, you'd be surprised at what all they do to help out the community. I’ve shopped here since it first opened, and I’ve donated hundreds of dollars worth of items each year. I will no longer go to the Care Center in New Hope. The items are ridiculously overpriced and the better items are reserved and labeled as “not for sale.” I’ve seen my own donated items of little value marked up to as much as $20 dollars and beyond. When I asked about this, the response was that “we have bills to pay.” Let’s all remember that these items are DONATED. I acknowledge that the Care Center is financially supportive of our community, and I appreciate the good they do. However, it is a thrift store and should reflect thrift store prices.
