Dollar General — Local services in New Iberia

Been to this store 3x a week for the last year and today I was asked to leave with a basket full of stuff because “it’s suspicious that you’ve been in here for 2.5 hours” I had on a tight crop tank and fitted jeans and no purse or backpack. I even told one worker what I was looking for and she seemed very uninterested. The store is always sloppy, they’re out of stock in multiple things all the time, the carts are never put away.

Also, there was product still in boxes just thrown on the shelves and floor so I helped put the beauty products up since the only 2 workers in there didn’t seem to care that people had to walk over and around.

I also helped TWO elderly customers locate items they needed help finding because the employees were nowhere to be found and were no help.

And then after weeks of looking at the trashy display with keychains and journals and decor for gifts (which I was shopping for) I organized and hung the items up. So I guess doing the employees jobs for them automatically seems suspicious.

They wouldn’t allow me to finish shopping and scanning barcodes with my app to stay under budget so I had to empty half my cart while being followed to the register to pay $70. I asked the cashier if she wanted to check my pockets and cropped tank since I seemed so suspicious to them.

I’ve never been so embarrassed and never knew there was a time limit to shop in a dollar general. Oh wait, that’s right… THERE ISNT. If I could give 0...

The store is very dirty, disorganized and very cluttered. I went in April the 12, 2018, in the early evening, say 2pm ish. I had purchased $23 in items and the cashier refused to let me check out because I had $100 bill and "she was about to get off", and "who are these people that think she's gonna stay late messing with them!" She was so busy being loud, ghetto, and heckling to her other rude and ghetto associates about how she wasn't leaving late, she failed to realize I had pulled out a combination of 2 alternate forms of payment, as not to press her hostile social skills any further. I had to call her 3 times, though she was 2 feet away. I would advise ya'll to go down the street to walmart. The customer service is better, they reprimand degenerate associates with no customer service tendencies and the prices are the same. Was just at this store and I had a total of 52.23 and my niece was having trouble figuring out how to use the card reader and kept asking the cashier, also the store manager mind you, and the cashier just walks away to ask a question of her district manager I'm assuming on a conference called I'm not mistaken the customer comes first. This cashier then proceeds to tell us to leave, that we are being loud and accuses my niece of being high. My niece is pregnant and her emotions are high that's it. If thes are the kind of managers they are hiring I'm never stepping foot in one of those crappy places again. I wish there was an option to give them no stars cause one star is just too good...
