Dollar General — Local services in New Lebanon

May 6,2023 4:59PM —Never felt more uncomfortable in this store before. I usually never leave reviews nor do i ever feel discriminated against. Not that anything will be done because of this review. I just want to point out that whoever is the cashier in there today was a Caucasian woman probably 40-50s with brownish/ red hair was super nice laughing high energy to the customer before me then when i get to the register it was a COMPLETE energy change! She was completely quiet and cold and only spoke when i spoke to her…. I causally walk up with my few items say Hi, how are you doing today as I usually do anywhere I go. She’s short, and monotone and quick to get me out… Meanwhile back to being very nice and bubbly to customers after me…The energy from her was very unwelcoming and not sure what I did to offend her just by walking up….If i had known this would be my experience I would have skipped the whole interaction and went to self check out. Sucks this is the only DG in the area I can take a lunch break at and make a quick stop in… Been here few times during the week never had this kind of experience everyone is usually very nice…Wish I paid attention to what her name was to mention...

I was sooooo IMPRESSED! This center is by far one of the two most well-stocked, clean, neat, organized units I have set foot in! Well Done!!! Even the clearance section was sectioned off by department and all stickered! No buggies full of dusty merchandise blocking isles either! You folks really rock it out! The assistant manager who processed my order was efficient and made some small talk with me which was definitely a bonus. I looked for your name on my receipt, but it was not there. Note: put the name there or at least a direction as to what # is the employee code so we can call employees out by name for a job well done I live within one mile from another center, but travel the 6 miles away because the center next to me is the exact opposite of what you are. I’m always stopping in here and it’s always a pleasant experience. All the employees I’ve dealt with have always been so helpful and courteous despite often been very busy! This location is always well stocked ( not including pop/occasionally cat food) and is always tidy. I took a star off because I’m still disappointed they decided to take away their large clothes section , this was my grandma’s favorite place to get clothes. Now it’s just folded sweats. Also I’m not impressed with the new Reno/layout of the store , I think the previous model was better. Either way the employees are great here and you’ll find...
