Feeling selfishly obligated to share my secret..Clean Beauty Salon in New Lenox! But really, it wouldn't feel right to gatekeep how incredible this place is.
First off, they're all about clean products â which is amazing for your hair and scalp, but that doesn't mean youâre sacrificing an ounce of volume. The salon has this super positive and friendly vibe that makes you feel like you're hanging with your closest friends just sipping coffee and spilling the latest tea.
I've been coming to Clean Beauty for a few months now and I trust Brooke completely with my hair. From blowouts, cuts, color, extensions ââ you name it! (Additionally as a wavy haired girly, Brooke gave me the perfect curtain bang that I can either style with my natural curl or blown out, which is something I didnât even know was possible!)â¨
Let's talk about blow outs- First and foremost, never underestimate the power of a blow out! It is the best way to try out a new salon and is one of many reasons why I keep coming back to Clean Beauty. The bowls are actually comfortable and Brooke's scalp massages are next-level zen. Seriously, I could drift off to sleep right there in the shampoo chair. Additionally to preface, I am âthat clientâ meaning Iâm particular with my hair due to past experiences at other salons and Brooke definitely takes the time to communicate what the best route is based off my goals and expectations versus what is realistic with my hair type and my overall maintenance level. I always leave with the most confidence and my blowout will last all week, which frees up my schedule significantly!
There are not enough thank youâs in the world for Sheli, the owner, for creating such a stellar salon here in New Lenox. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun, and the entire team is just amazing.
Do yourself a favor and book the appointment â your hair (and your mood)...

Listen. I donât know what kind of sorcery is going down at Clean Beauty Boutique, but I walked in looking like a disheveled side character and walked out looking like I had a Netflix deal and a skincare sponsorship. đ
Taylorâaka The Fade Fairy, Shear Queen, Line-Up Legend, Clipper Commanderâtook one look at me and said, âSay less.â Within minutes, the clippers came out, the cape went on, and I swear I heard angels harmonizing in the background as she sculpted my head like it was a Michelangelo original.
THE FADE? Oh, it wasnât just fresh. It was frigid. Antarctic levels. I walked out of that chair and the breeze was hitting my neck like it just got released from prison. The blend? So smooth, even butter was like âwhoa, chill.â
People on the street did double takes. One guy stopped me to ask if I was famous. I said âno,â but now Iâm wondering if I should be.
Letâs also talk vibesâClean Beauty Boutique isnât your average spot. Itâs classy, itâs cozy, it smells like success and eucalyptus, and the playlist was so fire I almost asked if they take song requests. Taylor herself? Professional, precise, and funnier than half the stand-up specials on Netflix. I laughed, I got lined up, I spiritually ascended.
So if you're still out here trusting your cousin's barber-friend who "kind of cuts hair sometimes," do yourself a favor and get with the program. Go see Taylor. Go get the fade. Go live your best life.
IN CONCLUSION: Taylor at Clean Beauty Boutique is a walking miracle with clippers. 10/10. Will be back next week just for the...
Read moreThis review is long overdue because I've been procrastinating but here it goes. I booked a hair appointment about last month to get ready for an overseas trip at that time. I came in and got Lucy. She was very nice to me and I liked her. I just didn't like what she did to my hair because I wanted a layered hair and trimmed only. I told her I didn't want a short hair and I hate straight hair and only do 2 inches cut. What she did was she went ahead and cut my hair 2 inches straight cut. When I noticed that I immediately asked why my hair was a straight cut when I wanted a layered and specifically said I hated straight cuts. She said that she just likes to cut it straight first then style it to layer. That just shooked me lol. Because I do not want her to cut my hair anymore cause it was already cut 2 inches. And I already felt it short. If she was to cut again in a layer style, it would be even shorter. So I let her stop there, just paid money and walked away with a hair I hate. I always request that kind of hairstyle whenever I would go to salons but that was the first time I have encountered someone to cut it straight first and then layer it. I mean it would be fine as long as it was not cut 2 inches already.
I just had to say my experience because I was really not happy when I went on my overseas trip since I was planning to style it and curl it and can't do it anymore cause it was too short (for me) and literally a straight line.
Until now, I'm just waiting for my hair to grow back and then have a layer style haircut next time but not...
