Lived in the area my whole life (28 years) and never checked it out until yesterday. Pulled in with my two kids (3&9) to check it out and was surprised to find out that the place was not a store as advertised. Walked halfway through the 'photo-Op' park only yo be told by a grumpy old man that we had to pay to be there, $5 a head, and that my kids were unsuited for the place...
I would have paid if I knew what they place was but the signs didn't specify parking or anything about a fee. A random old man yelling at me for money in front of my kids is grounds for me to run away. I will not be visiting again and would not recommend to others. $5 a head regardless of age seems crazy especially considering the lack of proper signage and consideration to age. $15 for an adult and 2 young kids to take a selfie with rustbuckets & grumpy old men is not something I put a high value on.
Total experience = 100% creeped out & will...
Read moreOMG! This place is the greatest! There are lots of old cars and metal art to take a picture of and in front of with your friends and family! It was very artistic, very relaxing to meander through the park, see the clever artistic sculptures and have some yuks at the clever humor. Kathleen was the nicest host, she was amazing and you could tell she was just a beautiful person. I bought over $100 worth of stuff. They allow dogs on a leash but I decided not to bring the three golden retrievers and I was glad as it had rained and there was some mud. They had themes like trains and circus and dinosaurs and Beach and military and aliens and it was hecka fun! My favorite was the gypsy wagon! I don't have any photos cuz I brought my super...
Read moreIf you're in the mood for some offbeat, one-of-a-kind fun, you absolutely have to swing by this spot. It's a treasure trove of quirky finds and vintage gems, with a touch of pure madness thrown in for good measure. There's no method to the madness here, but that's what makes it so special. It's a delightful blend of lost art and eclectic chaos that's worth every penny of the five bucks entry fee. And don't sweat the $25 photo fee - trust me, the unique shots you'll get are worth it. But if your cheapskate, your iPhone will work just fine. We're already planning our next visit for our family...
