I have a 40 year old Luxman power amp that as blowing fuses. I struggled for 6 months to find someone who could repair. Every audio shop I went too frowned, said parts were not available and said it could not be fixed so get over it already.

Finally, I found Mark Weiss@ Amp Experts. Mark is quite simply the best audio tech I have ever met. He was friendly and professional and boy does he know his stuff!

Even though he had a backlog and it was right before Thanksgiving, Mark called me to say he opened it up and found the problem. Also informed me that he had the parts in his shop to get it fixed. A week later the job was done, amp repaired and sounding great!

It was a 3 hour drive each way to drop off the 65lb amp at Marks shop and then pick it up to bring it home.

So about 2 weeks after buying a Peavey 6505+ (my first tube amp), it took a spill off the top of my 2x12 cab. The cab is on a proline stand at about a 10 degree tilt, I didn't think it would be a problem, but when I cranked it the vibration from the low-end caused it to fall off the back. Volume was drastically reduced and lead channel very thin and breaking up, so I replaced all of the tubes, lead channel tone sounded ok but still very quiet on all channels. Long story short, Mark tested the amp, figured out the issue (cracked solder joints on preamp board) and repaired all inside of an hour. Excellent value at a great rate. It was an hour and a half drive to bring my amp there but rest assured I will be happy to make the drive for any amp issues, extremely happy and great confidence in his expertise. ...

I first found Mark when I purchased my 2nd piece of McIntosh gear, an early MX110 M series. When I got it, it sounded horrible, not surprising as many of the internal components had either failed, were about to fail or had drifted so far out of spec that the unit wasn't working well, When Mark was done with it, I brought it home, connected it to my already rebuilt McIntosh tube amplifier and it was magic, I had never heard such amazing sound in my life.
