Went for New Year's day. Hadn't been there in years and was pleased to be warmly greeted as soon as we walked in by the bartender and LONGTIME owner, himself. Such an extremely nice man! May I add.. he prepared our meal himself. The food was STILL as fresh and FABULOUS as I remembered! My dad had the Shrimp with Lobster sauce,my hubby had the Orange Beef and I had the Garlic Chicken combo meal which came with soup and an egg roll. I chose Egg Drop soup and it was so delicious with the perfect consistancy. The entree was also so good and the vegetables fresh! The Pork Fried Rice was just over the top delicious! Now, THAT was truly, Fried Rice! Nowadays, the typical fried rice you get at other establishments is just all yellow rice with a bit of onions and small bits of pork. This? The rice had been clearly and truly,fried..browned and had good size pieces of pork and onions along with small veggie pieces. The seasoning was so delicious..it was addicting! Now, I usually don't eat large amounts and always end up taking home large amounts of leftovers. On this day? I finished all the chicken, the awesome eggroll and a good amount of the rice. I took the leftover rice and had it for my lunch the next day. Yum! My husband LOVED his entree and my Dad enjoyed his shrimp w/ lobster sauce with very fresh shrimp. This is an EXCELLENT Chinese restaurant!Good Chinese food is so hard to get now. It is off the beaten path a bit now that the I84 highway extension opened, but STILL FABULOUS!!! GO...you won't be...

My dish wasn't exactly what I was expecting- I originally wanted bean curd but they didn't have any, so I got mixed vegetables in general tsos, however, they don't have that as an option so I received mixed vegs in their house brown sauce. And because they did not have bean curd, they doubled my order on the house, very nice of them!! My boyfriend liked his dish (sweet and sour chicken dinner combo), said it was pretty standard for chinese food. The crab rangoon on the menu was closer to cream cheese rangoon (no complaint from this vegetarian), they were very tasty with the dipping sauce! We would order...
Read moreGolden Leaf is a hidden gem. I've lived in the area for ten years and never tried the food here, but I'm so glad I did finally try it for take out. The portions are generous and the food is delicious. It is very similar to old school Chinese-American restaurants I've tried in NYC like Wo Hop. The restaurant itself is a bit dated, but don't let that fool you if you were to dine in. Give it a try, I was very pleasantly...
