Messina's at the Terminal Venue — Local services in New Orleans

My wife and I had our wedding reception here in an October 2022. Messina's and their staff created such a wonderful cocktail hour and reception for us and our guests. We looked at so many venues in New Orleans and this place was hands down the place that we wanted as soon as we saw it. The Walnut Room and Atrium are so beautiful in their own way. We are so happy we selected Messina's! Sarah and Maurye are great to work with and Chef Leon made the most delicious food for our reception. Some of our guests said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding! Also, Big thank you to Willie and the wait staff! .

The building itself is just so beautiful and we fell in love with the architecture and Art Deco feel of the space. It created such a unique and eloquent experience for our guests. We had our cocktail hour at sunset with a helicopter grand entrance, and our guests were so wowed by it! Our dream wedding was created in this beautiful place! The Louisiana Music Teachers Association (LMTA) held its state conference banquet at the Runway Cafe a few days ago. I cannot say enough good things about the experience! The venue is really beautiful and elegant.

Lizzy, the Sales Manager, was very helpful with organizing the room. We held a a silent auction and also gave away door prizes. The room was set up so that attendees could easily move around to see the items and we also easily visited with friends.

The food was excellent especially the fried chicken, the gumbo and the bread pudding. Everyone commented on what a wonderful time they had at the banquet.

We also held it at the Lakefront Airport in 2017 when LMTA was last here for a state conference. I didn't even look around this time and went straight to Messina's.

Located in the New Orleans Lakefront Airport terminal, a little hidden gem! Messina’s is only open for breakfast + lunch. They serve a nice brunch on Saturday and Sunday as well!

I went for lunch last week, LOVED IT! I ordered the bottomless hangar bellini, soup of the day which was crawfish bisque + the salmon. Everything was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the entire meal and the chef brought out white chocolate bread pudding. That was the cherry on top.

I love the view so much! The view is of the tarmac which has a special place in my heart and reminds me of my Atlantic Aviation days— perfect nostalgia. Seeing the private jets brought back all the aviation memories.

I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to grab a bite + get away from the “craziness” of New Orleans.
