Prepare to be ripped off by this doctor. I select him as we put our trust on Summit Health. The nail of my toes had some gray color so I suspected gray nail symptoms. The waiting at the clinic was long but the time being diagnosed by the doctor was extremely short. Doctor quickly told me upfront that he could not comment until the lab result came back. He cut a couple pieces of nails from my toe and that was it. The entire doctor session lasts less than 5 minutes. Later I received a big bill charging me an extended time visit and an additional lab analysis fee. The worst thing is that even though the test result came back negative, he still asked me to return to interpret the result. Another ripped off! Same experience to my spouse. I complained to the office about the overall bill (more than a thousand dollars from our pocket even with insurance coverage) but they said that those are standard practices that they did to every patient! What a shock to us! (P.S. I am tied up by a lot of stuffs but I think I should still post my Feb 24 visit to prevent others from...
Read moreHorrible experience from start to finish. They wanted to take Xrays for a callous on my feet that 'hurt' when I put a pair of a certain shoe. The doctor saw me for a couple of minutes, had to see under a microscope if it was a callous, confirmed it was and then still went ahead an used a 'wart' medicine. This not only burnt me but gave me a big bruise that I was unable to walk for 5 days. I went to see my husband's podiatrist who right away told me that there was a foreign body under the callous and removed a piece of 'glass or clear plastic' from under the callous. For this horrible treatment that thankfully I refused xrays of my foot- the doctor charged me just under $1000. Please avoid him. I went to him as he was Indian like me and I thought I would receive...
Read moreMy husband and I think the world of Dr. Patel. He is kind, super smart, thorough, and takes his time to explain what he is seeing. Between bunion surgery and a few "age-related" foot problems, we have appreciated his honesty and care. We are looking forward to getting our new set of inserts in a few days, because we are avid walkers and know they work! Orthotics may be covered again with our insurance, but, if not, we will happily be paying $450 for each set. They are an investment in our foot health, and we want to...
